The latest update, version 7.11, included patch notes confirming the game’s closure. PerBlue called the decision difficult and expressed gratitude to players for their years of support. The company shared that the game held special meaning for many of them, connecting to cherished childhood memories that inspired its creation.
As a big fan of Disney Heroes: Battle Mode, I was really bummed to hear PerBlue is shutting it down. Here’s what’s happening: on April 30, 2026, they’re taking the game off both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, and you won’t be able to buy anything else in the game. If you already have it downloaded, you’ll be able to keep playing until May 31, 2026, but that’s when the servers are going offline for good. They’re also closing down the official Discord server around the same time, since it was mostly for support and updates, and there won’t be much need for it once the game is gone. It’s sad news, but at least we’ll have a little while longer to enjoy it!
