2025 finds me excited to expand my gaming horizons as Disney Illusion Island, a game I initially enjoyed on my Nintendo Switch, is now set to launch on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox systems! Originally released for the Switch on July 28, 2023, this platformer has been part of my personal gaming library for a while now. However, come May 30, 2025, I’ll be able to share the magic with fellow gamers across multiple platforms!

As a gamer, I can tell you that I recently got my hands on Disney Illusion Island, a 2D side-scroller developed by Dlala Studios. This game brings together Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse, and Goofy in an adventure across Monoth Island. The storyline involves navigating through obstacles and battling tough bosses scattered throughout the island.

What’s even more exciting is that this Disney Games title offers local co-op support, allowing me to play with up to three friends simultaneously! The game received a mixed response when it was first released less than two years ago, but now it’s making its way to more platforms later this year, expanding its reach and giving new players the chance to join in on the platforming fun.

As a thrilled fan, I’m excited to share that I’ll be embarking on an adventure with Disney Illusion Island come May 30th! This epic journey will unfold across PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms. The initial release includes the main game along with all previously released free DLCs – Keeper Up and Mystery in Monoth. But that’s not all! A brand new DLC called Cave Adventuring Scavenger Hunt (C.A.S.H.) is also on the horizon, featuring none other than Scrooge McDuck joining the action. And for those of us gaming on the Nintendo Switch, we can look forward to this exciting addition too!

On top of that, a physical edition of the game will be hitting stores on May 30th in North America and June 27th in Europe. This special edition comes with a poster and is available for pre-order at USD 29.99. For instance, rumors about the Switch 2 featuring Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, and Kirby Air Riders have been circulating. Moreover, there are still several significant Nintendo exclusives scheduled for release on the Switch this year, including Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Pokemon Legends: Z-A.

Moving a game across multiple platforms generally increases its sales and enhances its recognition. Therefore, it’s logical to infer that the teams at Dlala Studios and Disney are likely hoping that their game being made available on new platforms will enhance its financial success. Moreover, it could be interesting to observe if the upcoming release, with all its extra features, might garner better reviews than the Switch version of Disney Illusion Island did.
