AdHoc Studio has heard fans asking for more of the popular game, Dispatch, and a company leader says they are considering a second season. However, the team isn’t making any promises about adding a large amount of new content right now.
As a long-time adventure game fan, I have to say, Dispatch really blew me away when it came out in October 2025. It’s an episodic game made by a team with a fantastic pedigree – many of them were key players at the now-closed Telltale Games. And starring Aaron Paul? Genius! It was a massive hit, reportedly selling over a million copies in its first ten days. Even though we’re still waiting on the last two episodes, the demand for a second season has been incredibly loud since day one. Honestly, the hype is completely justified.
Dispatch Season 2 Is a Possibility, Developer Confirms
Pierre Shorette, co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of AdHoc Studio, recently hinted at a possible second season of their popular adventure game. Speaking on the SkillUp podcast, “Friends Per Second,” Shorette said they’ll need to consider a Season 2 now that the game, Dispatch, has been so successful since its release in October 2025. While he didn’t make any firm promises, he acknowledged the game’s positive reception warrants further discussion.
I’ve been following Dispatch, and it’s interesting how they released it. While they called it an episodic adventure, the way the episodes came out makes me think the ‘episodic’ part was more about how they marketed the game than how they actually made it. Each set of two episodes launched just a week after the last, which is way too fast to create new content. It really seems like most of the game was finished before it even came out, and they just spaced it out to look like an ongoing series.
The final episodes of Dispatch (episodes 7 and 8) will be released on November 12th for PlayStation 5 and PC. While the creators might make a second season eventually, it’s unlikely to happen soon. Because game development takes a long time these days, a new season of Dispatch probably won’t be available for several years, if ever.
We’re gonna have to at least think about [Dispatch] Season 2 now.
As of November 9th, the game Dispatch has received “Overwhelmingly Positive” reviews on Steam, with feedback from over 21,300 players. This success shows that story-focused games are popular again, especially those that offer a cinematic and interactive experience, much like the games Telltale used to make. It proves people still enjoy dramatic, engaging stories in games.
