Hytale’s early access version is launching very soon, and the countdown is almost over! Here’s a look at what you need to know about the game’s multiplayer features.
Hytale will be available on PC through early access starting January 13th. Developers anticipate a large number of players will begin exploring the game right away, marking a significant milestone after a challenging year of development.

Does Hytale Have Multiplayer?
Hytale offers both multiplayer and single-player experiences, but playing with others is a key feature of the game.
Hytale lets you play in many ways: you can join private servers with friends, public servers with players from all over the world, or even play solo.
We don’t yet know how many players can be on a server at once, and that number might change as the game is still being developed.
More multiplayer options, like being able to chat with players nearby, are planned and will be added in a future update.
Does Hytale Have Co-op?
Hytale does offer cooperative gameplay, but it’s optional. You can also choose to play the game focusing on player-versus-player combat if you prefer.
Hytale servers will support both cooperative and competitive gameplay. Some servers might focus on player-versus-environment (PvE) experiences, but when you host your own server, you decide the rules. You can choose to team up with friends and explore together, or challenge them in player-versus-player (PvP) battles.
Like in Minecraft, you’ll be able to lock chests and items if you want to keep them safe from other players.
We haven’t shared all the details about multiplayer settings yet, but expect to learn more before the early access launch. We’ll also continue to update and improve these features after release, and the community will be able to expand them even further through modding.
