It’s tough to deny that Donkey Kong Bananza isn’t the full deal. The main campaign, lasting approximately 20 hours, is rich with captivating mechanics, enjoyable boss battles, and visually stunning landscapes. Moreover, there are at least another 20 hours of additional content in this game, such as rewarding treasure hunts for valuable Banandium Gems and a variety of exciting bonus stages that will surely thrill you.
It’s clear that Donkey Kong Bananza doesn’t require Downloadable Content (DLC) at this moment, but there’s definitely potential for it in the future. The game’s design inherently suggests more levels could be added down the line, and perhaps even a couple more Bananza Transformations. However, before Donkey Kong Bananza sees any DLC, Nintendo might want to leverage the existing content of their base-game for the initial round of DLC for another recently launched Switch 2 title.
Donkey Kong Bananza Should Inspire Mario Kart World’s First DLC
Donkey Kong Bananza’s Racing Layer Is A Mario Kart Track Waiting to Happen
In the latter stages of “Donkey Kong Bananza,” players advance to a level called the “Racing Layer,” which is situated around the two-thirds mark. This level stands apart from its predecessors, as it features only a single circular stadium suspended in the sky above the clouds, a towering golden trophy, and a welcome desk overseen by two cherished characters from the Donkey Kong series.
Discussing with Diddy and Dixie Kong will uncover that they’ve created a racecourse hidden beneath the planet’s layers. Naturally, Donkey Kong consents to race against his long-time friends, leading him to mount Rambi the Rhino and embark on an exhilarating pursuit inside this floating arena. The competition might be brief, but it makes a lasting impact due to the distinctive Liftoff Ore features in Donkey Kong Bananza, enabling players to soar upwards at any moment while dashing around the track.
Despite its basic design, the track seems ripe for inclusion in the initial batch of downloadable content for Mario Kart World. Furthermore, although players wouldn’t be able to trigger Liftoff Ore themselves, incorporating a level similar to Diddy and Dixie’s speedway within Mario Kart World could involve the rainbow-hued material as a means for discovering hidden shortcuts or alternate routes.
There’s been some chatter suggesting that the game “Mario Kart World” could be releasing Downloadable Content (DLC) related to “Donkey Kong Bananza” soon. This speculation arises because two well-known voice actors from “Bananza” are credited in “MKW,” and it’s not yet clear which characters they voiced within the kart racing game.
Donkey Kong Bananza Is Filled With Must-Have Mario Kart Drivers
At present, only Donkey Kong and adult Pauline from the Donkey Kong series are featured in Mario Kart World. As the connection between Donkey Kong and Super Mario becomes increasingly intertwined, it seems fitting to expand the Kong family’s presence within Mario Kart World. Some ideal additions could include Diddy and Dixie Kong, along with a younger version of Pauline, as well as the VoidCo Kongs.
Donkey Kong Bananza Has A Ton of Outfits Waiting in the Pit
Despite characters like Donkey Kong and Pauline being part of the select group who join the roster of Mario Kart World, their customization options are relatively limited compared to others, with only one extra outfit each. It’s high time that more outfits are added for both characters in Mario Kart World. The recently released game Donkey Kong Bananza could serve as a rich source of inspiration, offering over 65 customization items for Donkey Kong and more than 10 outfits for Pauline. This suggests that Mario Kart World has a wealth of options to choose from when it comes to enhancing these characters’ appearance.
