As the release of Nintendo Switch 2 draws near, there’s a sense of excitement in the air. One can’t help but wonder what game will capture everyone’s attention first. Just as many others, I can hardly wait to start with Mario Kart World. Others, no doubt, are eagerly anticipating the upgrades that await us in the Switch 2 editions of games like Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
If you’re nostalgic and want a taste of the past, here are three classic titles coming to the Nintendo Switch at launch: Soulcalibur II, F-Zero GX, and The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. Enjoy your trip back in time!
For some time ahead, if I’m not busy with Mario Kart World, I’ll likely be enjoying F-Zero GX instead.
It’s clear that there are plenty of exciting aspects of the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, but unfortunately, its high cost is a point of contention. Yet, one particular characteristic seems to be garnering little, if any, positive feedback.
The Nintendo Switch 2 Camera Has Little To No Interest
It’s not surprising, given its underwhelming presentation during the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, that the upcoming camera for the console has generated little excitement. In fact, most people have stated they have no intention of buying it. Out of the 50 people who pre-ordered a Switch 2 at my local GameStop, only one person opted to purchase the camera – my wife, who is doing so out of mere curiosity.
As a dedicated Nintendo Switch fan, I find myself reflecting on the recent discussions in the Nintendo Switch 2 subreddit, particularly a post that queries whether we’re planning to purchase or utilize the camera feature for NS2. The question further asks if our intentions are driven by game gimmicks or communication needs. Initially, about the first 20 responses seem to indicate a ‘No’, but as I delve deeper into the conversation, some fellow enthusiasts express a hint of interest, provided they can envision compelling reasons for its use.
It’s important to note that the Switch 2 camera doesn’t lack a fanbase. As one user put it, “Absolutely, particularly for Super Mario Party events. But mainly for my daughter’s enjoyment.
Let’s wait and observe if Nintendo or external developers can come up with innovative ways to utilize the camera on the Switch 2, since at this point, many users find it underwhelming regarding its possible applications.
