For a week between March 27 and April 3, the video games “Neko Ghost, Jump” and “Cat Quest” were up for grabs on the Epic Games Store without any prior announcement. These games were classified as mystery titles, with Epic not revealing in advance that they would be free. The company has promised to continue this surprise strategy for the upcoming week’s free game.

For April 3rd, the Epic Games Store has unveiled Cat Quest 2 as their free game. This highly-rated action RPG can be claimed on the EGS website and will stay available until April 10th at 8am PT / 11am ET / 5pm CET. As many had speculated, the recently completed Epic Games Store promotion hinted at the upcoming free game for April 3rd. The streak of miniature mystery games from Epic has now concluded as the upcoming freebies for next week have already been disclosed: River City Girls and Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms.

Starting April 10, the game “River City Girls” will be given away for free on Epic Games Store. Developed by WayForward in California, this vibrant beat-em-up was launched in 2019 and received generally favorable reviews, as evidenced by its “Strong” rating on OpenCritic, which is based on an average score of 79 and a 78% recommendation rate from reviewers.

Users of Epic Games Store can anticipate receiving a free in-game currency for the action game “Arcadegeddon” soon. By logging into the EGS version of the game between April 10th and April 17th, players will receive a one-time bonus of 5,000 Arcoins.
