Users who have signed up for the Extra or Premium tier of PlayStation Plus should give priority to certain games as monthly selections change in these tiers. Unlike the games offered with PS Plus Essential, those removed from Extra and Premium will no longer be playable by subscribers once they are taken off the library.
Consequentially, recent updates to PS Plus Extra and Premium have led to a number of disappointing changes for subscribers. The most recent update took away 22 games, causing many to express their displeasure online. On the positive side, fewer games will be removed from PS Plus Extra and Premium in June 2025 compared to May, but unfortunately, some of the service’s top-rated games are among those being taken off.
On June 17th, the following games will no longer be available for PS Plus members: “After Us”, “AVICII Invector”, “Inscryption”, “Kayak VR: Mirage”, “Monster Hunter Rise”, and “Rogue Legacy 2”. Among these, the ones that received the highest ratings are “Inscryption” (86), “Monster Hunter Rise” (87), and “Rogue Legacy 2” (89). These critically-acclaimed titles are strongly recommended for PlayStation Plus subscribers to play before they’re taken off.

Keep in mind that these games have varying playtimes: according to How Long to Beat, you can expect to spend around 12.5 hours on Inscryption, roughly 23 hours on Monster Hunter Rise, and approximately 26.5 hours on Rogue Legacy 2. Since both Inscryption and Rogue Legacy 2 are roguelike games, the time it takes to beat them may have some degree of luck involved. Nonetheless, with careful planning, you should be able to complete all three games before they leave the library on June 17, depending on your available free time.
