Don’t Miss Walking Wake and Iron Leaves in February’s Epic Tera Raids!

Summary

  • Walking Wake and Iron Leaves return as Five-Star Tera Raid bosses in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
  • The Paradox Tera Raid event will run for one week from February 20 to 27.
  • Trainers can catch Walking Wake in Pokemon Scarlet and Iron Leaves in Pokemon Violet.

A week before the annual Pokemon Day event, it was announced that Walking Wake and Iron Leaves would be back as Five-Star Tera Raid bosses in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet for a limited time. Players of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet who haven’t had the chance to encounter these Paradox Pokemon earlier will have around one week to catch them during this special event.

In the world of Pokémon, Walking Wake and Iron Leaves are often seen as the ancestral and futuristic counterparts of Suicune and Virizion respectively. Walking Wake is a unique dual-type Pokémon with Water and Dragon attributes, while Iron Leaves is a Grass and Psychic creature. Interestingly, these two creatures are exclusive to the games Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet, so trainers seeking to add them to their Pokedex will need to engage in trades. It has been over three years since Walking Wake and Iron Leaves were last seen in Tera Raid battles, specifically during late April to early May of 2024.

Following the conclusion of the Milcery Valentine’s Day Tera raid event for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, players can look forward to another opportunity to capture Paradox Pokemon. As reported by Serebii.net, the reappearance of Walking Wake and Iron Leaves as Five-Star Tera Raid bosses will commence on Thursday, February 20, around 7:00 PM Eastern, and conclude on an unspecified date by Thursday, February 27. Notably, Walking Wake will be found in Tera Raid dens within Pokemon Scarlet, while Iron Leaves will appear in Pokemon Violet.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Paradox Tera Raids (Late February 2025)

  • Walking Wake and Iron Leaves are coming back to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet as Five-Star Tera Raid bosses.
  • The Paradox Tera Raid event will run for one week, from February 20 to 27.
  • Walking Wake will appear in Pokemon Scarlet, and Iron Leaves will show up in Pokemon Violet.
  • The ending of the Walking Wake and Iron Leaves Tera Raids will coincide with Pokemon Day.

In your game file, you can only catch one of each special Pokémon, Walking Wake or Iron Leaves, once. If you’ve already got them in your collection, you won’t be able to capture them again. These unique Pokémons will offer valuable prizes like EXP Candies and hard-to-find Berries when defeated. Walking Wake is a Water-Tera type, while Iron Leaves serves as a challenging Psychic-Tera adversary.

For trainers with level 100 Pokemon, taking on Tera Raid bosses (of level 75) should pose little challenge. The date of February 27 might catch the attention of Pokemon enthusiasts, as that’s when Pokemon Day is celebrated. As for Pokemon Legends: Z-A, which is slated for release in late 2025, there’s speculation about whether a special Pokemon Presents episode featuring this highly anticipated Switch title could be announced.

Moreover, trainers of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have until February 28th to claim three special codes that grant useful items such as the Quick Ball. As Pokemon Day approaches, we’ll just have to wait and see what exciting surprises The Pokemon Company has prepared for us.
