The game studio Don’t Nod, known for Life is Strange, is partnering with Netflix to create a story-focused game based on a well-known existing franchise.
Over the last ten years, if you’ve enjoyed story-driven video games, you’ve likely encountered a title from Don’t Nod. The French studio, known for games like the Life is Strange series and their recent release, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, has become a major player in the industry. They’ve now announced a new partnership with Netflix in their latest sales report.
Netflix and Don’t Nod Working on a New Existing Franchise-Based Game

Don’t Nod recently shared its financial results for the first half of 2025, revealing a revenue increase of over 300%, thanks to games like Lost Records: Bloom & Rage. Although Lost Records didn’t sell as well as hoped, the studio is optimistic about future releases, including The Lonesome Guild and Aphelion. The biggest announcement, however, is a new partnership with Netflix. Don’t Nod’s Montreal team is currently working on a story-focused game for Netflix, based on a well-known franchise.
There are several possibilities for what IP Don’t Nod might be working on. Considering their success with mystery and sci-fi games like Life is Strange, Stranger Things seems like a perfect fit. However, Netflix has a wide range of popular franchises, including Bridgerton, Outer Banks, Bird Box, and Wednesday, so they have many options to choose from. I’m eager to see what they create, as I enjoy both Don’t Nod’s games and Netflix’s shows.
