Doug ‘Censor’ Martin Has Finally Broken The ‘Pull Up’ World Record

As a long-time fan of Doug ‘Censor’ Martin, I must say that today was nothing short of spectacular! From his humble beginnings as a Call of Duty pro player to breaking world records and inspiring millions, Censor has truly come a long way.

After over a year of rigorous practice, numerous demonstrations displaying his progression, and guidance from the previous record holder, Doug ‘Censor’ Martin, he accomplished the feat of breaking the world record for the highest number of pull-ups completed within a 24-hour period.

Martin, a highly accomplished Call of Duty player, has been pursuing this record for quite some time. However, he didn’t just surpass it; instead, he shattered it significantly, completing over 9,000 pull-ups in approximately 19 hours, far exceeding the previous mark.

Regardless of personal feelings towards him, Doug ‘Censor’ Martin has accomplished something truly remarkable today, earning a Guinness World Record that may stand untouched for a considerable period. Previously, Kenta Adachi, the previous record holder, had performed 8,940 pull-ups within a 24-hour span in Japan.

Earlier on, Jaxon Italiano, an Australian individual, surpassed the previous record by executing 8,008 pull-ups within the same time period. For quite some time, he’s been working with Censor and managed to help him (successfully) break the now-crushed record.

With five hours remaining before the clock ran out, Censor had already set the record. This allowed him to continue at his pace, exploring the limits of his endurance, under the watchful eye of Guinness’s supervisors. As I write this, he is still persisting in his endeavor.

Congratulations are in order for Doug @Censor Martin as he’s shattered the existing WORLD RECORD by performing an impressive 19 hours and beyond of continuous pull-ups within a 24-hour period! There’s still plenty of room for him to elevate the record even higher. We couldn’t be prouder of you, Doug – go get ’em! Let’s root for this achievement together!

For over a decade, Censor has been an unwavering professional player of Call of Duty, reaching the pinnacle of his career by winning the MLG National Championship in 2011 and contributing significantly to the expansion of the Call of Duty gaming community. Although he no longer actively competes, he maintains a connection with the Boston Breach team within the Call of Duty League.

This adventure served as an inspiration – for those who didn’t witness it firsthand, Censor frequently displayed intense emotions on camera, lamenting his failed attempts to set a record during training. His hands were often injured from gripping the bar, and each new achievement seemed to inflict more pain upon his body.

Congratulations, Doug.
