As a seasoned gamer and long-time follower of Dr Disrespect, it’s been quite the rollercoaster ride this year! From controversies to surgeries, our Doc has faced more than just a few obstacles. But, as we all know, he’s not one to be easily brought down by a little thing like an ACL tear or some baseless accusations (okay, maybe the Lamborghini struggle was a bit much!).
YouTube personality Dr Disrespect has shared some news with his followers regarding his upcoming recovery from ACL surgery, stating that he’ll be back to streaming next week. Dr Disrespect is well-known on YouTube and previously faced controversies in 2024, leading him to take a break from streaming for some time.
Known as Guy Beahm IV, also called Dr Disrespect, is a well-known content creator who began his journey in 2010, portraying a humorous exaggeration of an arrogant gamer. Recently, Dr Disrespect shared that he would undergo ACL surgery, causing concern among some of his supporters.
Currently, Dr Disrespect has shared that he’s doing well post-ACL surgery and plans to resume streaming on Monday following a restful weekend. Interestingly, he mentioned experiencing difficulties getting into his Lamborghini after the operation, but overall, he’s in good shape to continue his work as a streamer.
Dr Disrespect Will Return to Streaming Next Week
2024 isn’t the only year when Dr Disrespect has temporarily halted streaming. Previously this year, he also took a brief break following a scandal that erupted after a former Twitch employee alleged that Dr Disrespect was banned due to sending inappropriate messages to a minor on the platform. The accusation and subsequent public outcry led him to cut ties with his sponsors such as Turtle Beach, Midnight Society, and free-to-play shooter “Rogue Company”.
Following these allegations, Dr Disrespect’s YouTube channel was also stripped of monetization. Back in October, YouTube decided against monetizing his channel again, but the content creator is currently hoping for a second chance to rejoin the YouTube Partner Program. Despite this setback, he continues to use the platform.
2024 isn’t all gloomy for Dr Disrespect either. Last month, he ranked among the leading YouTube streamers in the US. As per Streams Charts, he was the second most-watched American gaming streamer, logging a total of 2.2 million watch hours. He fell short only to IShowSpeed who accumulated 3.08 million watch hours. Throughout the month, he broadcasted approximately 106 hours of content, primarily playing “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.” Furthermore, his followers showed their support by donating thousands of dollars, as evidenced on his Streamlabs tip page.
