Dr DisRespect is a well-known streamer who’s been through a lot of public controversy over the past few years. Despite a major scandal that damaged his image, he continues to stream and has largely regained his audience.
The popular streamer is really upset about losing touch with some of his closest friends and collaborators. This happened after a disagreement over messages became public in June 2024. He recently explained on a live stream why he’s still seen as too controversial for most of them to work with.
Dr DisRespect Has No Love For Some Streamers
In June 2024, popular streamer Dr DisRespect faced controversy when it was revealed he had messaged a minor on Twitch years earlier. This led to a permanent ban from the platform, but for the past year and a half, he has maintained his innocence, insisting he didn’t do anything wrong.
Despite a thorough investigation by authorities who found no evidence of any rules being broken, he continues to be successful and well-known.
While the incident did damage his reputation, most critics have since lost interest.
The situation understandably had a significant impact on Dr DisRespect’s career. He lost contact with friends, was removed from his role at Midnight Society, and quickly lost a large number of followers – tens of thousands in just a few days.
In a recent broadcast, Dr DisRespect talked about how he’s been feeling. He mentioned specific people he enjoys playing with and those he’s cutting ties with, and he also explained why some streamers avoid collaborating with him.
I miss playing with Timmy. I think secretly Timmy misses the Two Time too.
But the problem is a lot of the agencies control those conversations, right?
They were worried that associating with him could jeopardize their sponsorships and lead to negative consequences.
But I do miss playing with Timmy.

We’re focused on our work, but a lot of people in this industry need to connect and work together. It’s a small field – really, only a few agencies dominate, and they all own the popular streamers. That’s why you see so much collaboration; it’s how everyone stays visible and successful.
He suddenly started talking at length about Shroud, launching into a passionate and critical explanation. These two creators have always had a competitive and strained relationship.
Shroud? I could care less about that dude.
I strongly believe my opinions are valuable and deserve to be taken seriously. I feel confident in what I say and expect others to recognize its importance.

Entertainment-wise, I mean talk about a f***ing snooze.
Dr DisRespect praised Summit1g, calling him ‘his favorite’ streamer no matter the game, and even went so far as to say he’s ‘one of the greatest’.
