Dragon Age: The Veilguard Character Creator Gets Standalone Release

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of role-playing under my belt, this latest move by BioWare has left me absolutely thrilled! The standalone release of the Dragon Age: The Veilguard Character Creator is not just a game-changer, but a testament to the power of customization in modern gaming.

Bioware unveiled plans to launch the Character Creator from Dragon Age: The Veilguard as a separate product. This revelation was included in their message for Dragon Age Day 2024, directed towards the game’s players.

As an enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that across all platforms, the Character Creator will now be available for free! This means you can design your own character before even launching the game for the first time. The app enables you to create and save your character, which you can then seamlessly transfer into the game – provided they’re both on the same platform. Unfortunately, this cross-platform compatibility isn’t supported yet, so you won’t be able to craft a character on PC and use it on PS5 or Xbox Series.

BioWare stated that there’s no deadline for using their Character Creator, as they understand that designing an ideal protagonist might require numerous hours.

Alongside introducing the Character Creator, BioWare also revealed that players will have an opportunity to acquire and customize their characters with the armor, tattoos, and distinctive nose markings reminiscent of Hawke, the hero from Dragon Age II.

As a gamer, I’ve got some exciting news! After updating to Patch 4 and wrapping up the mission ‘The Singing Blade’, you’ll find some permanent cosmetics waiting for you at the Lighthouse. Straight from the studio!

At the moment, you can play Dragon Age: The Veilguard on personal computers, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. Additionally, the Character Creation feature has already been released too.
