Dragon Age: The Veilguard trailer shows off an epic fight

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the trailer for Dragon Age: The Veilguard left me utterly spellbound! From the moment the video started, I found myself on the edge of my seat, my heart racing as I watched the epic battle against a colossal dragon.

During the September PlayStation State of Play, a breathtaking trailer for the upcoming game Dragon Age: The Veilguard was unveiled, leaving viewers in awe.

This video leaves you wondering about all the other fantastic elements the game must have, as it previews an exciting battle – yes, a dragon fight! The four-minute clip boasts impressive graphics, making the game appear visually stunning overall.

Anyway, check out the video, below:

Jino Talens, Electronic Arts’ Global Integrated Communications Director, recently posted on the Official PlayStation Blog: “We can’t wait to reveal a fresh glimpse of Dragon Age: The Veilguard! In this exclusive gameplay snippet, recorded on PlayStation 5, witness Rook, our latest Dragon Age protagonist, battling alongside two allies, Taash and Lucanis. These characters are chosen for this specific fight out of the total seven companions in the game, who form the Veilguard. Their mission is to aid Rook in confronting ancient gods determined to bring about the world’s destruction.

Talens stated: “In the trailer, it’s clear that the corrupted gods have let loose a terrifying dragon over Thedas. It will be your job, as Rook, to employ all your tactical knowledge and powers in this battle, while also directing your companions in combat using the command wheel. This way, you can make smart decisions and execute powerful attacks and combos effectively, ultimately defeating the enormous creature.

In this specific video, we encounter a Mage-style Rook character, one of the three initial classes available to pick. He wields a staff for long-range attacks or an “Elemental Orb and Dagger” for up-close battles. Notably, the icy dragon portrayed in the trailer seems weak against fire attacks, as demonstrated.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X on October 31st.
