Throughout its run, Dragon Ball has showcased many incredible fighting techniques used by both good and bad characters. The most famous of these is the Kamehameha wave, which has become an iconic attack, instantly recognizable even to people who don’t usually watch anime.
Beyond the official techniques seen in the main Dragon Ball series, there are many impressive moves found in movies and spin-offs. Some of these non-canon techniques are powerful enough to rival even the strongest attacks from the core series. Here are some of the most impressive non-canon techniques in Dragon Ball.
Beyond God Instant Kamehameha
Super Dragon Ball Heroes is an exciting and over-the-top series. The online animated series and manga offer fans plenty of action, with interesting character combinations, incredibly powerful heroes, and impressive moves that many wish were included in the main Dragon Ball storyline.
Goku has many strong attacks in Dragon Ball, and fans are hoping to see his Beyond God Instant Kamehameha used in the future, especially when the manga continues. This move involves Goku charging a Kamehameha blast while in his Ultra Instinct Sign, quickly teleporting around his opponent to find the ideal moment to strike. Although he never fully unleashed it, Goku seemed very confident it could defeat Aeos, a former Supreme Kai of Time, suggesting it would be an incredibly powerful attack.
Negative Karma Ball
Watching GT was always interesting because people seemed to either love it or hate it. Some felt it didn’t live up to the original, while others enjoyed how it brought back that classic adventurous feel. But one thing everyone could agree on was that the series delivered some really cool transformations and memorable villains. And when I think about all the bad guys in GT, Omega Shenron definitely stands out as the most iconic.

Man, Omega Shenron was a seriously tough opponent! He just seemed completely invincible with all his power and crazy attacks. What really stuck with me was his Negative Karma Ball – it was this massive energy sphere that could actually destroy planets! Luckily, Gogeta showed up just in time and managed to reverse the energy, turning all that negativity into something positive and saving Earth from total destruction. It was an amazing battle!
Super Dragon Fist
The Super Dragon Fist, a popular move from Dragon Ball GT, isn’t entirely original. It’s a powerful combination of two earlier attacks: Goku’s Dragon Fist, first seen in the movie Wrath of the Dragon, and Penetrate!, a technique young Goku used to defeat King Piccolo.
Super Dragon Fist is a straightforward attack, much like Goku’s other moves. He rushes towards his opponent, enveloped in a golden dragon, and delivers a powerful punch that goes right through them, causing significant damage. Goku successfully used this technique, combined with Final Assault, to defeat Super 17.
Super Ultra Spirit Bomb
It often felt like Dragon Ball GT was simply trying to surpass the original Dragon Ball in terms of power and spectacle. The Spirit Bomb is already known as one of the most powerful attacks, so the introduction of the Super Ultra Spirit Bomb seemed excessive.
The standard Spirit Bomb gathers energy from a single planet and its people, but the Super Ultra Spirit Bomb is much more powerful, collecting energy from the entire universe. Goku uses this incredibly strong attack when he’s cornered by Omega Shenron, and the massive energy boost from countless beings is enough to finally defeat the Shadow Dragon.
Maximum Final Flash (GT)
Dragon Ball GT introduced some new attacks for Vegeta, and while Goku remained the main focus, Vegeta still had several impressive scenes. The Maximum Final Flash seen in GT is quite distinct from the one presented in Dragon Ball Daima.
This attack is a version of Vegeta’s Final Shine, performed while he’s in his Super Saiyan 4 form. He delivers it with the same motion he uses for his Final Flash, but with both hands. Vegeta and Goku both used it against Omega Shenron – Vegeta with his Final Shine and Goku with a ten-fold Kamehameha – but Omega Shenron was powerful enough to withstand both attacks.
Big Bang Kamehameha Limit Breaker
Goku and Vegeta’s combined forms are incredibly powerful, both in the main Dragon Ball story and in related media. In the Heroes series, a version of their fused form, Xeno Gogeta, uses what is likely their most devastating attack: the Big Bang Kamehameha Limit Breaker.
When Xeno Gogeta reaches his most powerful form, Super Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker, he gathers an immense amount of energy. He then unleashes a devastating Big Bang Kamehameha, an attack so powerful it can obliterate nearly any opponent it touches, impacting everything nearby as it concentrates its force.
3 Generations Kamehameha
Fans love the Father-Son Kamehameha, and it’s hard to imagine a better version. However, Heroes introduced a unique take on it: the 3 Generations Kamehameha. This even more powerful version of the Family Kamehameha features Goku, Xeno Bardock, and Future Trunks. It’s awesome to see these three characters team up, and the attack itself is incredibly strong.
The attack begins as a combined Kamehameha between Goku and Future Trunks, with Xeno Bardock quickly joining in and adding a Revellion Trigger for extra power. As all three reach their peak strength, their combined energy creates a massive, amplified version of the Family Kamehameha.
