Dragon Ball: 7 Techniques Stronger Than Vegeta’s Big Bang Attack

The Big Bang Attack first appeared in Dragon Ball Z during Vegeta’s battle with Android 19 and has become one of his most recognizable moves. However, like many of Vegeta’s techniques, he doesn’t use it very often throughout the Dragon Ball series. While Goku tends to stick with his core moves, Vegeta is always creating new attacks, such as the Galick Gun and Final Flash, constantly finding ways to channel his immense energy into incredibly powerful blasts.

Although Vegeta’s Big Bang Attack is incredibly strong, it’s been surpassed by even more powerful techniques throughout the Dragon Ball series. Compared to the strongest moves in Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball DAIMA, and Dragon Ball Super, the Big Bang Attack doesn’t quite measure up anymore.

7. Tien’s Neo Tri-Beam is So Powerful, He Can Stop Enemies Far Stronger Than Him

By the end of the original Dragon Ball series, Tien was Earth’s most powerful human. However, after his death and subsequent revival during the battle with Nappa, he struggled to regain his former strength. While he continued to train, Krillin surpassed him in power during the Namek saga, and opponents like the Androids proved too strong for him to handle. Despite this, Tien always has one reliable technique he can use: the Tri-Beam.

I’ve always been amazed by Tien’s Tri-Beam. It’s an incredibly powerful Ki attack, so much so that it’s actually meant to kill whoever uses it! He’s taken it to the limit, and while it did kill him once, he’s become strong enough to withstand it. Over time, he perfected it into the Neo Tri-Beam, and it’s seriously impressive. During the fight with Cell, he managed to hold Semi-Perfect Cell still for several minutes with it! Later, against Buutenks, he even used the Neo Tri-Beam to deflect an attack that would have hit Gohan. Even though he might not have the highest Power Level, Tien clearly still has the skill and technique to hang with the best.

6. Super Vegeta’s Final Flash Was Strong Enough to Destroy the Planet

Vegeta’s most powerful attack in Dragon Ball Z is definitely the Final Flash, surpassing even his Big Bang Attack. He uses it during his fight with Perfect Cell, and the sheer energy of the Final Flash worries Future Trunks, who fears Vegeta might accidentally destroy the planet with it.

Vegeta restrains himself from destroying the planet, and Cell along with it, at the very last second. If he unleashed the full power of the Final Flash, it would obliterate Earth, making it a move he only considers as a last resort.

5. Gohan Beast’s Special Beam Cannon (Beast) Stopped Cell Max For Good

As of the end of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, Gohan is the most powerful Z-Fighter, meaning any attack he uses is incredibly strong. During his final fight with Cell Max in the movie, Gohan tells Piccolo that he’s been secretly training and learned the Special Beam Cannon.

The Special Beam Cannon is already a devastating attack in Dragon Ball, able to defeat enemies much stronger than the person using it. Gohan Beast’s version of the Special Beam Cannon is the strongest one yet. After a grueling battle with Cell Max, Gohan Beast’s incredibly powerful and precise Special Beam Cannon instantly defeats him.

4. The Super Spirit Bomb Can Vaporize Most Enemies

Goku’s Spirit Bomb has been a powerful, last-resort attack since the early days of Dragon Ball Z, but it only successfully defeated one enemy: Kid Buu. The Super Spirit Bomb is a stronger version, gathering energy not just from Earth, but also from the planet New Namek. This enhanced attack was powerful enough to instantly defeat Kid Buu, overcoming his incredible ability to regenerate.

The Super Spirit Bomb is incredibly powerful, but its strength relies entirely on collecting energy from living beings. While nature provides some energy, people must willingly share their life force to truly power up the attack. Interestingly, it doesn’t take a lot of energy to make the Super Spirit Bomb stronger than Vegeta’s Big Bang Attack.

3. Future Trunks’ Sword of Hope Was Strong Enough to Almost Kill Zamasu

The Sword of Hope is an incredibly powerful attack in the world of Dragon Ball, particularly when used close to the person wielding it. This attack appears only in the Dragon Ball Super anime, used by Future Trunks during his battle against Zamasu at the end of the Goku Black Saga. Future Trunks combines the divine energy he gained from training with Vegeta and the collective life force of Earth’s remaining inhabitants to fuel his Super Saiyan Rage and channel everything into the sword.

Future Trunks’ Sword of Hope is similar to the Spirit Bomb, and powerful enough to split Fused Zamasu in half – a remarkable feat considering Zamasu was immortal and had previously resisted attacks from Goku, Vegeta, and even Vegito. However, despite Trunks seemingly defeating Zamasu, the villain’s immortality allowed him to corrupt Trunks’ timeline so severely that the timeline ultimately had to be erased by Zeno.

2. SSJ4 Goku’s Transcendent Power Kamehameha Shook the Demon Realm

In Dragon Ball DAIMA, Adult Super Saiyan 4 Goku is incredibly powerful. During his battle with Giant Gomah – who’s been strengthened by the Evil Third Eye – he unleashes a Kamehameha wave so devastating that it nearly defeats the previously unbeatable Gomah and causes massive tremors throughout the Demon Realm. This Kamehameha, known as the Transcendent Power Kamehameha, is the most powerful version of the attack ever seen in the Dragon Ball series.

The Transcendent Power Kamehameha was so powerful, its energy rippled across all levels of the Demon Realm, threatening to tear the world apart. However, Gomah possessed a unique defense – the Evil Third Eye – which could only be overcome by three precise strikes to the back of the neck. Despite the Kamehameha’s immense strength, Goku’s attack wasn’t enough to defeat Gomah.

1. Hakai is Pure Destruction & The Strongest Technique in Dragon Ball

Hakai, also known as Destruction, is the strongest attack in Dragon Ball Super. Usually used by the Gods of Destruction from each universe, it can instantly obliterate anything it touches. We first see a weaker version of Hakai when Beerus destroys debris on Earth in Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods. Later, in the Dragon Ball Super manga, both Goku and Vegeta learn to perform the technique by watching Beerus.

Goku first uses the Hakai technique during his fight with Goku Black, nearly destroying Zamasu, but he has to stop when Zamasu grabs Mai. Later, Vegeta learns Hakai while training to become a God of Destruction during the Granolah the Survivor Saga. When Vegeta uses Ultra Ego, his control over destructive energy increases, making it easier for him to use Hakai effectively.
