The arrival of the Super Saiyan transformation fundamentally altered Dragon Ball. Super Saiyan transformations, while not as commonly used against the strongest villains anymore due to the introduction of God-like forms, still allow characters to reach incredible power levels. We’ve seen amazing feats from characters using Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 2, Super Saiyan 3, and the recently confirmed Super Saiyan 4.
Father-Son Kamehameha
A truly unforgettable scene in the series occurs when Gohan, severely injured after a grueling fight with Cell, finds the strength to overcome the odds. Fueled by the memory of his father, he wins a desperate beam struggle, defeating the terrifying Cell and saving the planet.
The Father-Son Kamehameha is a beloved moment for many Dragon Ball fans. It beautifully showcases Gohan’s strength and determination in his Super Saiyan 2 form, and highlights Goku’s inspiring influence on others. It’s a truly iconic scene that the series has attempted to replicate, but the original remains unmatched.
True Kamehameha
I always felt like we barely got to see Super Saiyan 3 Goku in action. It was incredibly powerful, but that power came at a cost – it was too much for him to maintain for very long. Even with limited screen time, though, SS3 Goku managed some truly incredible things.
You know, as a huge Dragon Ball fan, seeing Goku go Super Saiyan 3 and unleash the True Kamehameha was epic! It was so cool seeing him respond to Kid Buu trying to copy the attack. Honestly, Goku’s version completely outshone Buu’s – it actually hurt the guy, which is saying something!
Maximum Final Flash
Vegeta didn’t achieve Super Saiyan 3 in the original Dragon Ball Z series, but the DAIMA arc finally allowed him to demonstrate the transformation.
I’ve noticed something interesting about the Maximum Final Flash in the DAIMA universe. While it first appeared with Super Saiyan 4 in GT, the DAIMA version looks quite different. The original had a distinct green glow, but this new one is much more like the standard Final Flash – only far more powerful and with a seriously intimidating blast. It just feels stronger overall.
Transcendent Power Kamehameha
Vegeta wasn’t the only character to undergo a major change in the DAIMA series. Surprisingly, the show officially added Super Saiyan 4 to the main Dragon Ball storyline, allowing Goku to achieve the popular form originally from Dragon Ball GT.
True to form, Goku caused chaos with his new transformation and unleashed an incredibly powerful Kamehameha wave. This “Transcendent Power Kamehameha” looked similar to his usual attack, but with a striking red color added to the familiar blue. It wasn’t just for show, either – it was one of the strongest moves in the DAIMA storyline, easily destroying parts of both the First and Second Demon Worlds.
Gigantic Catastrophe
The first version of Broly quickly became popular thanks to his incredible strength. The newer, official version of the character had a lot to live up to, and it definitely became even more powerful than the original.

Final Kamehameha
Vegito delivered some of the most exciting scenes in the Buu Saga, even though he wasn’t present for the entire arc. His fusion of Goku and Vegeta showcased a level of power we hadn’t seen before, and he frequently dominated Super Buu.
I watched as Vegito began charging what looked like a standard Kamehameha wave. But then, something incredible happened. As he fired it, his hand movement shifted, mirroring the technique used for the Final Flash. The result was a dazzling blast of light – a combined attack that looked capable of completely destroying anything in its path.
Stardust Breaker
While it wasn’t officially recognized as part of the main story until Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta used it against Broly in Dragon Ball Super, Gogeta actually first used the Stardust Breaker as a regular Super Saiyan during his fight with Janemba in the movie Fusion Reborn. This initial version of the attack was incredibly powerful, defeating Janemba and even restoring him back to his original, calmer self.
This energy sphere is among the strongest attacks in the series, and it looks as impressive as it is destructive. Few attacks can match its combination of power and visual flair.
