While he appeared in earlier *Dragon Ball Z* stories, this new version of Broly is significantly more powerful. Most fans also agree that this updated Broly is a much more compelling character.

Broly possesses incredible power, but he’s never been able to fully control it. His father consistently held him back, causing him to lose control and go into a rage whenever he reached his limits. Now, with Goku, Vegeta, and Whis as his teachers, Broly has the opportunity to master his abilities like never before, and this training could even unlock a completely new transformation.

Broly’s story begins with his extraordinary, unmatched power. Even as a baby, he showed so much potential that it worried King Vegeta, who feared a common child might be stronger than his own son. This led the king to banish Broly and his father, Paragus, to the dangerous planet Vampa.

Broly’s life was defined by constant struggle for survival, shaped by the harsh planet he lived on and his father’s strict control. This made him incredibly tough, but it also prevented him from reaching his full power. Whenever Broly grew stronger, his father would punish him with a shock collar, fearing he couldn’t control his son. As a result, Broly could never fully unlock his potential, and pushing his strength too far would cause him to lose control and become enraged.

I watched as Broly fought Goku and Vegeta, and for the first time, he really unleashed his full power. The problem was, he’d held it back for so long that he couldn’t control it. He went into a furious rage, becoming unbelievably strong – even in his normal Super Saiyan form, he was surpassing Goku and Vegeta while they were using Super Saiyan Blue. It really showed just how much raw power Broly had been hiding all along.

Many fans believe Gohan is the strongest Saiyan because his new Beast form allowed him to fight equally with Goku’s Ultra Instinct. This suggests that if he unlocks another transformation, it will likely be his most powerful one yet. He’s recently achieved Full Powered Super Saiyan, which lets him harness his incredible strength without losing control, putting him on par with powerful fighters like Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, and Piccolo. Although he’s still learning to fully control it, he’s currently as strong as his peers.

Many fans think Broly’s next evolution will be a form similar to Super Saiyan 3, dramatically increasing his already immense strength.

Many fans are hoping the next transformation for Broly will be Super Saiyan 4, and with the recent *Dragon Ball Daima* series making it official canon, that’s now a possibility. Super Saiyan 4 always felt like a natural fit for Broly because it’s established as the rawest, most powerful form, channeling the immense strength of the Great Ape directly into the Saiyan’s body. This makes it especially well-suited to his character.
