As someone who has spent countless hours delving into the vast and wondrous universe of Dragon Ball, I must say that the latest episode of DAIMA has truly been a revelation. The way they’ve been unraveling the mysteries of the multiverse is nothing short of breathtaking.
The connection between Supreme Kais and Gods of Destruction has always been a fascinating aspect of the series, but the origins of this link have remained shrouded in mystery. However, DAIMA seems to be filling in these gaps with remarkable precision. The idea that the Glinds were chosen by Rymus at the creation of the universes is a brilliant stroke of storytelling.
It’s also intriguing to consider the role of the Angels and the Angel Realm in this grand scheme. The fact that they train Gods of Destruction suggests a delicate balance between creation and destruction, which seems to be a recurring theme in Dragon Ball lore.
On a lighter note, I can’t help but chuckle at the thought of Rymus, the super majin, playing the role of a cosmic job recruiter, selecting Supreme Kais for their divine duties! It’s a far cry from his destructive origins, isn’t it? But then again, who am I to judge a universe creator? After all, I’m just a humble observer in this grand cosmic dance called Dragon Ball.
As a die-hard fan of Dragon Ball since my childhood days, I must warn you that this discussion may contain spoilers for DAIMA Episode 10, titled “Ocean”, currently streaming on Crunchyroll. If you haven’t watched it yet and want to preserve the excitement of experiencing the events unfold, you might want to turn back now or skip ahead to the next paragraph. But if you’re ready to delve into the thrilling world of Dragon Ball with me, let’s dive right in!
Summary
- Rymus chose the Glinds to be Supreme Kais.
- Angels in the Angel Realm train Gods of Destruction.
- The life-link between Supreme Kais and Gods of Destruction explained.
Adventuring through the Demon Realm with Goku and his companions in Dragon Ball DAIMA has been quite an exhilarating journey! As we progress, it’s not just a thrill ride but also a means to uncover more about the universe of Dragon Ball. Fans have gained valuable insights into the Glinds and Supreme Kai race, yet details concerning the initial genesis of their cosmos are gradually offering intriguing hints towards one enigmatic connection.
It turns out that each Supreme Kai and God of Destruction in their respective universes share a unique bond, and this link is slowly being revealed through Dragon Ball DAIMA.
In “Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods” and subsequently “Dragon Ball Super”, we were introduced to the God of Destruction Beerus and his attendant Whis. As “Dragon Ball Super” unfolded into the Future Trunks storyline, which later included Goku Black and Zamasu, a very enigmatic connection was disclosed. It was revealed that if every Supreme Kai in a particular universe were to pass away, the God of Destruction of that same universe would meet its end as well. This intricate bond is maintained to ensure balance across all universes, but “Dragon Ball DAIMA” offers significant insights into the Demon Realm.
Dragon Ball DAIMA Lore Drop May Explain Supreme Kai and God of Destruction Link
The character known as the Supreme Kai was initially encountered in Dragon Ball Z during the Majin Buu arc. However, details about these enigmatic deities remained scarce until Dragon Ball DAIMA. In this series, we learn that the Supreme Kai of Universe 7, also called Shin, hails from a race called the Glinds. These beings originated from the Glind Trees in the Second Demon World and were chosen at the inception of the multiverse. An intriguing piece of lore was shared by Shin in Dragon Ball DAIMA Episode 10, “Ocean.” Previously in the series, we learned that his original Glind name is Nahare. He disclosed to the group that there had been a “benevolent Supreme Demon King” in their history.
In ancient times prior to the Dragon Ball era, a benevolent ruler instructed Super Majin Rymus to bring forth the universes. Following this task, Rymus selected the Glinds to serve as Supreme Kais, overseeing each cosmic realm. Later, the malicious Supreme Demon King Abura, the precursor of Dabura, instigated much turmoil among the Glinds and Namekians, forcing them to escape from the Demon Realm. Interestingly, this origin tale does not reference the Gods of Destruction or even the Omni-King Grand Zeno. However, these fresh insights from DAIMA seamlessly complement the established Dragon Ball universe timeline. Although Super Majin Rymus may have initiated the multiverse, the Omni-King has been governing and preserving it for an extended period.
Rymus chose the Glinds to become Supreme Kais and watch over each universe.
During the Future Trunks Saga in Super, Whis notes that initially, there were 18 universes, but Zeno erased six of them. Since Shin doesn’t discuss the Gods of Destruction, it seems plausible they were created separately from the Demon Realm. This thought provokes one of the greatest mysteries lingering in Dragon Ball’s cosmic structure: the Angel Realm. The Grand Minister who serves and advises the Omni-King is the father of all angels, and Whis suggests his home planet lies within the Angel Realm.
In this captivating new account of the multiverse, details about the Angel Realm remain elusive, yet it’s clear that a significant implication is at play. It seems that the Omni-King, in his role as maintainer of balance, had angels train and select each God of Destruction. Contrasting with the Supreme Kais who are divine entities fostering creation and linked to the Demon Realm, the denizens of the Angel Realm nurture divine beings tasked with destruction. This intriguing dynamic could account for the life-link shared by Beerus and Supreme Kai, as well as all other Supreme Kais and Gods of Destruction, ensuring neither can exist without a counterpart. As we continue to unravel the mysteries in Dragon Ball DAIMA, this appears to be one question that has found an answer.
