I just saw that a Dragon Ball Genki Dama Festival is happening near Tokyo on January 25, 2026, and the event schedule specifically mentions a “New game super announcement.” Gamepressure spotted it too. They’re also having a separate update reveal for *Dokkan Battle*, which makes it pretty clear this new announcement isn’t just an update for an existing game – it’s a whole *new* Dragon Ball game! I’m super hyped to see what it is.
Details about the next *Dragon Ball* game are scarce, but fans are already speculating. With *Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2* recently receiving *Dragon Ball Daima* content and approaching its ninth anniversary, many are hoping for a new installment in that series. Others would like to see a sequel to the 2D fighter *Dragon Ball FighterZ*, and some have even suggested a remake or continuation of the PlayStation 3 game *Dragon Ball: Raging Blast*.
