Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Episode Battles Guide: Goku Android/Cell Saga

As a seasoned Dragon Ball fan with over two decades of following the series, I must say that Dragon Ball Sparking Zero’s Episode Battle has truly outdone itself by offering unique storylines for each character! The Android/Cell Saga branching paths for Goku are particularly intriguing, providing a fresh perspective on one of the most iconic arcs in the franchise.

As a passionate gamer immersed in the Dragon Ball universe, I’m always on the lookout for fresh adventures that deviate from the traditional storyline. That’s why I can’t wait to dive into the intricate labyrinth of choices presented by Dragon Ball Sparking Zero’s Episode Battle! This game offers eight characters, each with their unique paths, leading us down a completely new Android/Cell Saga experience.

As a gamer embarking on this exciting adventure, let me clarify that some intricate storylines can be accessed by conquering specific battles tasks or challenges. Completing an entire episode of these branching routes will not only grant you 100,000 Zeni and a generous amount of XP but also other valuable items. This walkthrough will guide you through the various paths available for Goku during the Android/Cell Saga and the prerequisites necessary to unlock them.

Canon Story Line

To adhere to Goku’s storyline in Sparking Zero’s Android/Cell Saga, players must make decisions based on the events that unfolded in the anime. When Gohan and Goku are waiting to enter the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, they suddenly discover that Piccolo is in distress. Here, you will be presented with two choices: “Go Assist” or “Wait for Vegeta and others”. If you select “Wait for Vegeta and others”, the storyline will unfold similarly to how it did in the anime.

The Changing Future

To traverse Goku’s journey in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero’s Episode Battles, players need to opt for the ‘Offer Assistance’ option. Once you’ve made this choice, a fresh sequence of events unfolds, where instead of entering the Hyperbolic Time Chamber for training, Goku and Gohan team up to rescue Piccolo. Utilizing his Instant Transmission, Goku travels to Piccolo’s location before engaging in combat with Cell.

If you prefer not to learn about upcoming events, feel free to move on directly to the ‘Homecoming’ section instead. (spoiler alert for those who wish to avoid advance information)

In this account, Goku and Gohan decide to halt their training journey, leaving Goku to confront Cell solo. Somehow, he manages to outsmart and defeat Cell. Then, Android 16, 17, and 18 aim to eliminate Goku, but he effortlessly subdues them as well. As a result, the three retreat from battle. Regrettably, young Gohan fails to develop into the powerful warrior we recognize in this narrative.

Homecoming

In Sparking Zero, there’s an optional ending called Homecoming for Goku. However, it isn’t a full storyline. To unlock this ending, you must defeat Cell before the time limit is up. If successful, Goku won’t have to sacrifice himself to save Earth, and you’ll get a heartwarming scene where Goku, Gohan, and Chi Chi reunite after the Cell Games.
