Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Episode Battles Guide: Vegeta Android/Cell Saga

As a seasoned Dragon Ball enthusiast with over two decades of fandom under my belt, I can confidently say that the latest addition to the franchise, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, has truly outdone itself. The Episode Battle system is a game-changer, allowing players to immerse themselves in alternate storylines and earn substantial rewards.

For those unfamiliar with Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, take a look at the fresh Episode Battle system! In this game mode, players can either retrace the storyline from the anime or embark on an alternate path that concludes in unique ways. This Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Episode Battles Guide will focus on Vegeta’s branching paths during the Android/Cell Saga.

To venture into alternate character paths within Dragon Ball Sparking Zero’s Episode Battles, players need to accomplish certain objectives during combat to access these new storylines. In return, the game offers extra perks such as 100,000 Zeni, a substantial amount of XP, and additional items upon completion of these branching routes. This guide will delve into all the possible paths for Vegeta in the Android/Cell Saga and the prerequisites to unlock each one.

Canon Story Line

As a gamer controlling Vegeta, the main storyline is relatively straightforward until the Android/Cell Arc. However, when Vegeta transforms into Super Saiyan, you’ll encounter your first choice in alternative paths during his fight against Android 18. To stick with the original narrative, avoid defeating Android 18 within the given timeframe, and the gameplay will continue much like the anime.

Parental Bond

If you manage to vanquish Android 18 in the ongoing battle, gamers will uncover a fresh route for Vegeta’s Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Episode conflicts centered on Parental Bond. Nonetheless, there is an additional challenge that players must conquer before they can fully traverse this alternate pathway.

After vanquishing Android 18, Vegeta elects to practice with Future Trunks within the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. The goal for players is to defeat Future Trunks swiftly during this fight, as doing so unlocks the entire branching plotline. If they fail to do so, they’ll be redirected back to the standard storyline.

To determine if you’ve met the challenge, keep a close eye on Trunk’s dialogue choices. If you don’t inflict enough damage, he’ll hold back against Vegeta. But, if you do manage to deal sufficient damage, Trunks will reveal his Super Saiyan form to Vegeta, opening up a new pathway. To access this branching route, you need to accomplish these two objectives: dealing enough damage and observing the transformation.

Spoilers ahead for the Parental Bond Episode

Following your victory against Trunks, you observe an unprecedented conversation between Vegeta and him. Vegeta acknowledges the power of Future Trunks and reveals he was aware that Trunks is his offspring. He invites Trunks to train with him in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, aiming to reach a level beyond Super Saiyan together.

In the revised scenario, Vegeta and Trunks face off against Cell much like in the anime, but with an unexpected twist. This time, instead of immediately attacking or running away, as is often depicted, Vegeta lets Cell transform into his Perfect Form, just as he does canonically. But what follows is a fierce battle that leaves Cell momentarily staggered, causing him to propose the Cell Games Martial Arts tournament instead of the usual course of action.

Father Son Final Flash

Together, Vegeta and Trunks intensely train with the goal of growing stronger in preparation for the Cell Games. Once the games commence, it’s Vegeta who takes center stage, squaring off against Cell and putting up a fierce fight. However, despite his best efforts, Vegeta can’t quite match up to Cell, teetering on the edge of defeat. In that crucial moment, Trunks leaps into action, taking a devastating blow meant for Vegeta and sustaining severe injuries as a result.

Watching his son suffer intensely, Vegeta becomes angrier than ever before, determined to destroy Cell. He morphs into Super Saiyan 2 and engages in a fierce battle with the antagonist. The outcome of their clash hangs in the balance between Cell’s Kamehameha and Vegeta’s Final Flash. For a brief moment, it appears that Vegeta might be defeated, but at the very last second, Trunks intervenes with his own Final Flash, joining forces with his father to deliver the decisive blow against Cell, defeating him permanently.
