One could say that Dragon Ball ranks among the finest shonen anime ever produced, thanks to its exhilarating battles and captivating characters. Each story arc is a thrill to behold as we watch the protagonists triumph against immense obstacles, making each victory seem fresh and exciting.
In certain situations, I find myself observing that heroic forces sometimes join forces in groups of three to level the playing field against formidable threats. Interestingly enough, this strategy seems to be mirrored among the villainous ranks as well, where they often overpower others due to their strong teamwork and numbers.
Krillin, Gohan, Bulma
A Fun Trio Who Head To Namek Together
The Namek Saga kicks off with an engaging introduction as Gohan steps into the limelight, apart from both Piccolo and Goku. Instead, we find Krillin and Bulma accompanying him, leading to some delightful scenes.
Even though Bulma might remain aboard the spaceship during battles between the duo, it doesn’t diminish the chemistry within this threesome. New fans of “Dragon Ball Z” will quickly appreciate and enjoy these three characters in a short span of time.
Cabba, Caulifla, Kale
The Universe 6 Saiyans Who Reach Silly Levels Of Power In No Time
In Universe 6, there exists a tranquil land inhabited by extraordinarily potent Saiyans, yet their might is particularly impressive as they can only achieve the basic Super Saiyan form. The unique exception to this rule is Kale, whose Legendary Super Saiyan power stands apart in a league of its own.
The six Saiyans are strong on their own, but they can’t compete with powerhouses like Goku alone. However, when Caulifla and Kale join forces, it becomes challenging for Goku. But the unfinished Ultra Instinct form comes into play to disrupt their plans.
Goku, Krillin, Yamcha
The Original Dragon Ball Trio
It’s only fair to acknowledge the beloved original trio from Dragon Ball – Goku, Krillin, and Yamcha with his Wolf Fang Fist, who initially competed against each other but eventually became allies.
Watching these characters grow and develop prior to the storyline in “Dragon Ball Z” is quite entertaining. Although Yamcha might eventually become more of a comic relief character, Goku continually achieves greater feats. Krillin manages to keep up impressively as a human character (despite also being known as the series’ frequent target for attacks).
Future Trunks, Future Gohan, Future Bulma
The Last Surviving Members Of The Original Gang In A Post-Apocalyptic Future
In this imagined future, it’s disheartening to witness the chaos brought about by the Androids. The once lively world now stands empty, save for the remaining trio – Trunks, Gohan, and Bulma – who were originally part of the heroic group.
In the aftermath of many battles, Gohan gets captured by the Androids. The pain of losing his mentor transforms Trunks into a Super Saiyan. Overwhelmed with concern for the current time period, he travels back in time to alert people about the impending Android threat before they too face the same fate.
Android 16, Android 17, Android 18
The Androids Who Wreak Havoc At First But Eventually Become Good People
Androids, particularly well-known antagonists in anime, have become iconic over time. Fans are captivated by their menacing demeanor even though they are often unserious. For instance, after Android 18 outsmarted Vegeta, these robotic characters embarked on a spontaneous journey akin to a road trip.
Although Android 17 and 18 can be quite formidable adversaries, Android 16 develops a fondness for Earth and its inhabitants. This unusual relationship adds an exciting twist to the Android Saga, making the antagonists engaging to engage with. The arrival of Cell and the subsequent transformation of 16 into a hero further enriches this dynamic narrative.
Goku, Vegeta, Broly
The Newest Super Saiyan Trio Poised To Reach Greater Heights

In Dragon Ball, the introduction of Broly as the Legendary Super Saiyan has been quite remarkable, with such immense power that even Goku and Vegeta needed to combine their forces to counter this menace. Despite being a large and gentle being, he was mistreated by his father, yet possesses the potential for change.
From hereon, I’ve noticed that the storyline of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero unfolds with Broly integrating into the heroic group for training. The anticipation among fans is palpable as they eagerly await to witness Broly’s growth, particularly when Goku and Vegeta serve as his formidable mentors from Universe 7.
Goku, Vegeta, Future Trunks
Team Up Several Times Against Cell And Zamasu
Goku, Vegeta, and Future Trunks have been a significant part of some unforgettable trios within the series. The Cell Games provided a captivating peek at their teamwork, hinting at its great potential.
The peak of their abilities is reached during the Future Trunks Arc in Dragon Ball Super, where the trio put forth their maximum effort in an intense series of battles against Zamasu. Zamasu challenges each warrior to reach unprecedented levels, and Trunks gains a fresh transformation that’s powerful enough to face off nearly evenly with the two Super Saiyan Blue warriors.
Goku, Gohan, Goten
One Of The Strongest Families Of All Time

The Saiyan trio of Goku, Gohan, and Goten hold a significant place in anime history as one of its most renowned families. These characters possess remarkable abilities, capable of scaling new levels of power when necessary, although it’s been suggested that Goten has yet to fully tap into his potential.
During the second encounter with Broly, an unintended wish from Goten ultimately brings his father into the fray against the colossal Saiyan. He rallies his sons, urging them to mobilize their energies, culminating in a legendary Kamehameha wave that temporarily defeats Broly until his subsequent appearances in the DBZ films.
