Looking at everything, I honestly don’t see any of the heroes being able to beat Black Frieza on their own right now. Even if Goku masters Ultra Instinct completely, or Gohan and Broly reach their absolute limits, Black Frieza’s fight with just Goku and Vegeta showed he’s still on a completely different level than everyone else.
Because of this, Gogeta might be the only one capable of defeating the Galactic Tyrant. While the Metamoran fusion was previously thought to be weaker than the Potara fusion because it lacked a special power boost from rivals, Gogeta’s appearance in Dragon Ball Super proved that wrong. He showed that Goku and Vegeta’s power doesn’t just combine – it’s dramatically increased, creating an effect similar to that rival boost.

As the story progresses, Goku and Vegeta have become much more powerful than ever before – a common trend in Dragon Ball. Everyone agrees Black Frieza is incredibly powerful, potentially on the same level as a God of Destruction. But this new Gogeta? He could bridge that power gap and finally match Frieza – and honestly, it might be the only way they can do it. It’s just incredible to think about the potential!
Many fans are likely wondering why Gogeta is facing this challenge instead of Vegito. The reason is simple: both fusions are equally powerful, with the only difference being their personalities. Therefore, the deciding factor is which fusion is more stable.
When Vegito fought Merged Zamasu, his fusion only lasted 15 minutes because using Super Saiyan Blue put too much stress on the Potara earrings. This means any fusion using divine energy would likely fall apart very quickly. However, the Metamoran fusion, which creates Gogeta, lasts a full 30 minutes no matter how much power is used.
