As a long-time fan of the Dragon Ball series, I must say that the transformations in Super Dragon Ball Heroes are nothing short of breathtaking! The variety and creativity in these non-canon forms have certainly added an exciting new dimension to the Dragon Ball universe.

One of the most beloved shonen series ever, Dragon Ball, has captivated fans for generations with its unparalleled popularity. The late Akira Toriyama’s masterpiece has left an indelible mark on anime fandom, as children and adults alike have been enthralled by Goku’s incredible displays of power while facing formidable adversaries effortlessly.

Besides the numerous battles and canonical narratives featuring warriors unleashing formidable transformations to overpower their adversaries, certain non-canonical stories also provide an exciting spectacle of unique transformations that are genuinely astonishing on their own merit.

Fan creations will not be included.

8. Pseudo Super Saiyan

Goku Unlocks An Imperfect Super Saiyan Transformation While Fighting Lord Slug

  • Debut: Dragon Ball Z: Lord Slug

In my perspective, “Dragon Ball Z: Lord Slug” is an exceptional film that presents an intriguing deviation in the storyline timeline. While the Z Warriors should ideally be on Planet Namek, they surprisingly find themselves on Earth, just at the right moment when the titular Namekian arrives with plans to conquer our planet.

In simpler terms, he employs the Dragon Balls to restore his youth and gains immense fighting prowess, causing Goku some trouble. However, the Namekian gets overconfident and boasts about mercilessly destroying Earth and its people. This angers Goku immensely who then transforms into a Pseudo Super Saiyan, taking advantage of this temporary boost to severely beat up Lord Slug in retaliation. Later, he returns to his normal form.

7. Cooler’s Fourth Transformation

Frieza’s Brother Reveals A Transformation That Was Never Seen Before

  • Debut: Dragon Ball Z: Cooler’s Revenge

After Goku had vanquished Frieza, the despot’s brother, enraged by the humiliation inflicted upon his kin, chose to confront the Saiyan who stood victorious. What ensued was a relentless onslaught, as Cooler’s assault proved overwhelming, particularly when he unveiled an extraordinary transformation that not even Frieza possessed.

Nevertheless, despite possessing such incredible strength, he couldn’t escape defeat at the hands of Super Saiyan Goku. Enraged, Goku pummels Cooler mercilessly until there’s nothing left but a pulp. Then, in a final blow, Goku hurls Cooler into the sun, inflicting fatal injuries upon him.

6. Super Android 13

This Experimental Android Absorbs The Parts Of Its Brethren To Become Stronger Than Ever Before

  • Debut: Dragon Ball Z: Super Android 13!

In a turn of events, three unidentified robots seem determined to annihilate Earth. The Z Warriors are compelled to transport their conflict to a desolate area and confront these mechanical adversaries in battle. Although Android 14 and 15 were manageable opponents, the main antagonist from the movie proved to be no walk in the park.

Following the assimilation of parts from his fallen comrades, Android 13 experiences a metamorphosis, becoming increasingly formidable on the battlefield. However, it’s not until Goku inadvertently absorbs the power of a Spirit Bomb while in Super Saiyan form that he delivers a punch so powerful it causes Super Android 13 to collapse inwardly.

5. Legendary Super Saiyan (Non-Canon Variant)

Broly’s Strength Was Unheard Of In His First Movie Appearance

  • Debut: Dragon Ball Z: Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan

Prior to the movie “Dragon Ball Super”, Broly’s character lacked depth, and his reasons for action were often seen as comical. Nevertheless, this did not diminish the colossal power he possessed as a Legendary Super Saiyan.

It was just as disheartening to witness the grand Saiyan being eliminated with a single punch, delivered by Goku, following the absorption of power from everyone fighting this enemy. Fortunately, the Legendary Super Saiyan Broly in the official storyline didn’t succumb to such weak writing and had to be defeated by Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta before his loss was inevitable.

4. Super Janemba

The Embodiment Of Evil Becomes Even More Sinister

  • Debut: Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn

Fusion Reborn isn’t just a thrilling film that gives viewers their first look at Gogeta, but it also brings in a wicked adversary who personifies evil – Janemba. Initially appearing as a harmless kaiju, Janemba seems innocuous, but he undergoes a sinister transformation into Super Janemba.

This powerful fighter is no joke and was powerful enough to take out Goku and Vegeta with little to no effort. It wasn’t until the fighters fused that Janemba was finally defeated and balance was brought to the afterlife once again.

3. Golden Cooler

Cooler Makes An Emphatic Comeback In Super Dragon Ball Heroes

  • Debut: Goku Goes Berserk! The Evil Saiyan’s Rampage! (Episode 2 of Super Dragon Ball Heroes)

Although Super Dragon Ball Heroes might essentially be promotional content for a popular Japanese arcade game, it doesn’t diminish the grandeur of these episodes. With Cooler reappearing and unveiling a fresh transformation in the second episode, it’s evident that viewers should simply relax and enjoy this thrilling ride.

Viewing Cooler’s ultimate form, shimmering gold, is an impressive sight when he joins forces with his brother temporarily. This transformation, along with others like it, is a unique feature exclusive to the game Super Dragon Ball Heroes.

2. Evil Saiyan

Cumber Is No Joke, Revealing A Brand-New Form That Looks Intimidating

  • Debut: Goku Goes Berserk! The Evil Saiyan’s Rampage! (Episode 2 of Super Dragon Ball Heroes)

In the game Super Dragon Ball Heroes, we encounter new villains capable of swiftly attaining colossal power, and Cumber is among them. As a Saiyan with a corrupt moral compass, he’s able to access higher power levels through his Evil Saiyan transformation.

As I gaze upon this formidable adversary, his menacing crimson glow sets a chilling tone. Crushing the Z Warriors mercilessly, he seemed unstoppable. But then, something extraordinary happened – Goku tapped into Ultra Instinct once more, channeling an indescribable power that ultimately vanquished this threat, leaving me in awe.

1. Super Saiyan Rose Full Power

The Crimson-Masked Saiyan Shows The Full Extent Of Super Saiyan Rose’s Power

  • Debut: Final Battle in the Pseudo Universe! Clash of Blue and Crimson (Episode 38 of Super Dragon Ball Heroes)

Scarlet represents a formidable adversary, taking on the role of a resurrected version of Goku Black, displaying power greater than ever. This enhanced strength is evident in his Super Saiyan Rose transformations, which exude an intimidating presence.

In this version, there’s the Super Saiyan Rose Full Power, where a Saiyan’s tail regenerates as his Super Saiyan 3 hair style remains. It’s an intriguing design that leaves fans speculating if this form might be recognized in future Dragon Ball narratives.
