Summary
- The cover of Vol. 24 of the Dragon Ball Super manga showed Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, and Broly in their strongest forms.
- Toyotarou showcased the new illustrations in Volume 24, highlighting the equal strength of the five heroes on the cover.
- Frieza’s unexpected return as Black Frieza was a display of unmatched power, surpassing everyone else’s strongest forms.
The unexpected gap in Dragon Ball Super after the sad demise of the esteemed Akira Toriyama wasn’t completely unforeseen, given the magnitude of his legacy warranted a well-deserved break as a mark of respect. But by February 2025, the series officially resumed with Chapter 104, having been absent from publication for nearly an entire year.
In addition to this comeback, Volume 24 of the manga featured a fresh artwork depicting Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Broly, and Piccolo in their peak powers, an image that has garnered universal acclaim from fans. Furthermore, the artist responsible for Dragon Ball Super, Toyotarou, disclosed that these five characters on the cover are equally powerful. This could hint at potential developments for the series moving forward.
The New Strongest Warriors From Universe 7
The Main Fighters Of Universe 7 Are Revealed
The Strongest Warriors | Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Broly |
---|---|
Their Strongest Forms | Ultra Instinct, Ultra Ego, Beast, Orange Piccolo, Full Power Super Saiyan |
Since Toyotarou unveiled the cover of Volume 24, fans have been buzzing with excitement over how stunning it appears. Not only does it depict beloved characters standing united and prepared to face any obstacle, but they are all at their peak power, a sight that should cause other realms to quiver in terror. The characters featured, who can be seen in their most powerful forms, have arguably created the finest cover from all the volumes of Super.
The most renowned one among these transformations is Ultra Instinct Goku. Unlike other forms, fans have spent a considerable amount of time observing this form since Goku activated his mastered state against Jiren during the Tournament of Power. Since then, he’s refined it even further in subsequent storylines.
Ultra Instinct grants him the ability to employ an incredible technique used by the angels of multiple universes, known as the best defensive maneuver available, which makes his body indestructible and moves it away from danger automatically. With this transformation, Goku is at his peak strength.
In creating this composition, my aim was to demonstrate that each of the five characters possesses equal power.
Apart from this, Vegeta has additionally accessed a unique character form that seems to outmatch others in destructive force. Since he couldn’t unlock Ultra Instinct, Vegeta trained with Beerus to master the technique used by the Gods of Destruction. This is achieved through his Ultra Ego transformation. Unlike avoiding damage, this form encourages it, as every bit of harm Vegeta endures gets transformed into offensive energy, amplifying the potency of his attacks significantly. While there are disadvantages to this, theoretically, the power that Ultra Ego can amass is limitless.
Moving forward, we come to Gohan’s impressive Beast form. This transformation, while controversial for some fans who felt it was a shortcut in writing when he could match Divine Techniques so quickly, is undeniably cool. It truly showcases Gohan’s extraordinary potential, a power that very few can rival. In this transformed state, Gohan engaged in combat with Ultra Instinct on par, even demonstrating the unique way to surpass Ultra Instinct’s automatic evasion capabilities – through immense speed.
In a similar vein to Gohan’s Beast form, Broly too has unlocked an unprecedented power level comparable to that of Goku and Vegeta, though his is a fresh transformation that demands skillful control. What sets Broly apart among the Saiyan race is his colossal untapped potential, evident in his peerless and furious Legendary Super Saiyan form. However, he’s now learned to reign in his fury, enabling him to harness the strength of this form without succumbing to madness. This mastery instantly places him among the strongest warriors hailing from Universe 7.
In a surprising twist, the final character on this list has sparked immense joy among fans. That’s right, it’s none other than Piccolo! With his striking new Orange Piccolo form, he has solidified his position as one of Universe 7’s most formidable defenders, joining the ranks of those mentioned earlier. This transformation made its debut against Cell Max, where it demonstrated an unprecedented ability to match the giant’s might, a feat so remarkable that manga artist Toyotarou revealed Piccolo now possesses strength equal to the Saiyans.
Fans are super excited to see Piccolo back in action! He’s looking fantastic in his Orange form and has proven himself as one of Universe 7’s top protectors. This amazing transformation came during a fight against Cell Max, where he showed that he can stand up to the giant. In fact, the artist behind the manga said that Piccolo is now just as strong as the Saiyans!
The Wildcard Behind The Scenes Of Universe 7
The True Strongest Mortal
- Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Broly, and Piccolo are the strongest heroes in Universe 7.
- However, none are even close to Black Frieza.
- Black Frieza may be the only mortal on the level of a God of Destruction.
The discussion involving the main character in Universe 7 has started following the unveiling of Volume 24’s cover and Toyotarou’s accompanying remarks. Despite these five heroes being said to be on par with each other regarding strength, and significantly more powerful than before, they still do not hold the title of the strongest warriors in Universe 7. That distinction belongs to the Galactic Tyrant, Frieza.
Meanwhile, it’s worth noting that hidden in the shadows is the formidable Black Frieza, whose power level is certainly a factor to take into account.
In the thrilling climax of Granolah’s saga, I witnessed one of the most breathtaking demonstrations of power ever showcased within the Dragon Ball universe! Post the Tournament of Power, Frieza had been covertly amassing strength, culminating in his Black Frieza form. This transformation was so potent that it effortlessly dispatched both Ultra Instinct Goku and Ultra Ego Vegeta with a single blow. Given Toyotarou’s confirmation that Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Broly, and Piccolo are roughly on par in terms of power, it appears no one among them can currently match Frieza’s might!
Dragon Ball can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
