Dragon Ball’s Official Voice of Goku & Gohan Jailed for Property Theft

Stephanie Nadolny, the voice of Kid Goku in the original Dragon Ball series, as well as Kid and Teen Gohan in Dragon Ball Z, recently reprised her role as Mini Goku in Dragon Ball DAIMA. Earlier this year, she was arrested in Tarrant County, Texas, for stealing property worth less than $2,500. Because of previous convictions, the charge was increased to a more serious felony, leading to a jail sentence.

I checked the Texas Department of Criminal Justice’s inmate records and found that Nadolny was sentenced to 180 days in Linda Woodman State Jail in Gatesville, Texas, starting January 1, 2026, for a crime committed on June 3, 2025. According to Geekdom101, a well-known source for Dragon Ball news, Nadolny became eligible for parole last month on March 4, 2026, and has already been released and returned home.

The Voice of Kid Goku & Gohan, Stephanie Nadolny’s Previous DWI Bookings Resulted in Her 2026 Jail Time

Stephanie Nadolny, the voice actress for the Son family, has a history of legal troubles. While her recent arrest wasn’t widely reported, records show she was previously convicted of driving while intoxicated in Denton County, Texas in 2016. Since then, she’s been arrested multiple times for driving under the influence – in January 2020, April 2021, February 2023, and again in November 2024, according to Busted Newspaper.

Monica Rial’s recent legal issue comes after she reprised her role as Goku in the English dub of Dragon Ball DAIMA, premiering in June 2025. She originally played Kid Goku and Gohan in Funimation’s English dub of Dragon Ball Z Kai starting in 2010, but was later replaced by Colleen Clinkenbeard. Her performance as Mini Goku in Dragon Ball DAIMA received a lot of positive feedback from both critics and fans. However, with no second season of Dragon Ball DAIMA currently planned, it’s uncertain if Rial will return to the series.

There are rumors circulating that Stephanie Nadolny was removed from the English dub of Dragon Ball Z Kai due to past actions. However, all of her known voice acting work began in 2020, ten years after production of the dub had already started, so these rumors are likely false. Fans of Dragon Ball should respect Stephanie Nadolny and her family’s privacy right now.
