In Dragon Quest 7, you’ll eventually travel to the Ballymolloy area and be asked to explore the Rainbow Mines. You’ll need to find a green gem to help a boy whose father is ill. While the dungeon isn’t very long, there’s one puzzle that some players might find challenging.

This guide explains how to solve the ball puzzle found on Level 4 of the Underground area in the Rainbow Mines in Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined.

Want to solve the puzzle quickly? Simply push the third red ball (from left to right) to hit the ball on the platform. Then, push the second red ball, and finally the last red ball to unlock the path forward in the dungeon.

  • There are three red balls to push. Counting them from left to right, you want to start by pushing the third red ball to break the other red ball on the wooden platform. This will cause the rock to fall into the lower gap, creating a path to the red ball beneath the platform.
  • Next, push the second red ball onto the wooden platform to smash the other red ball –this will make the blue ball fall to the lower level and smash into the other blue ball on the lower path.
  • And last but not least, push the final red ball on the left, and it will roll down the cleared path to smash the ball at the end.
  • Doing this will turn the wooden platform near the staircase into a bridge for you and the party to walk across.
