Dragon Quest VII Reimagined Moonlighter (Multi-Class) Explained

Dragon Quest VII lets you choose up to two character classes (called Vocations or Jobs) at once, thanks to a system called Moonlighter. You unlock this ability by rescuing Jacqueline from the Pit of Silence and then returning to the present to give her message to the next person in line.

Okay, so I’ve figured out that if my character trains in two different professions, I get the stat boosts from both of them, which is awesome. But here’s the catch – it also kinda messes with my other stats, so I have to really think about what I’m prioritizing. It’s all about finding that sweet spot where I’m powerful and still well-rounded, you know?

Players can choose one of two classes as their primary role, gaining its unique ability, while still being able to use attacks and skills from both classes they have equipped.

Both professions will increase in level simultaneously, earning the same number of skill points. However, if you have a fully mastered profession alongside one you’re still learning, the learning profession will gain levels more quickly thanks to a +3 bonus.
