When Does Dragon Quest VII Reimagined Launch?
Dragon Quest VII Reimagined will be available on consoles starting February 5, 2026, at midnight Eastern Time. However, this release date is only for players who bought the Standard Edition of the game.
If you bought the Deluxe Digital Edition on Steam or a console, you get to start playing two days before everyone else! Early access begins February 3, 2026, at midnight Eastern Time.

A demo for Dragon Quest VII: Reimagined is now available for PC and console players. You can save your progress in the demo and continue it when you purchase the full game.

The demo concludes after you finish the story in Ballymolloy, which is the first area you’ll explore. Completing the demo also gives you a unique outfit for Maribel to use when you play the complete version of Dragon Quest VII: Reimagined. Before you download the demo, please be aware of the following conditions.
- To carry over any saved data to the full version of the game, players must have save data of Dragon Quest VII Reimagined Demo created from the same account, stored on the system where they will be playing the full version.
- There will be a cap on the character level and vocation proficiency players can reach, as well as the gold coin cap.
- Rewards such as bonus items will not be accessible in the demo.
- To receive the “Demo Player Present” on the full version of the game, players must have save data of DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined Demo created from the same account, stored on the system where they will be playing the full version.
- The “Demo Player Present” can be received from the “Claim Special Rewards” menu in the full version of the game.
Players can now experience the beginning of Dragon Quest VII Reimagined. When the complete game is available, they’ll be able to continue from where they left off if they decide to buy it.
