Dreams of Another, developed by indie studio Q-Games, has been confirmed for a PC launch in a new announcement. In February 2025, Dreams of Another was originally revealed as an exclusive game for the PS5, with PS VR2 support scheduled to drop later this year.
With industry experience stretching over 23 years, Q-Games has been a longtime collaborator for gaming majors, such as PlayStation and Nintendo. Since 2001, it has rolled out a plethora of multi-platform titles as well as exclusive titles, including the long-running PixelJunk series and a few Star Fox games. More recently, in September 2024, the Japan-based developer shipped a multiplayer puzzle title called All You Need Is Help across PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo platforms. As of late, Q-Games devs have been working toward the launch of Dreams of Another, a third-person shooter, which was unveiled at the PlayStation State of Play stream earlier in 2025.
In a new development, Q-Games shared that Dreams of Another is also headed to PC via Steam, adding another major platform besides PS5 into the mix. This was revealed through an updated version of the game’s debut trailer, whose original version released in February had only mentioned PlayStation as the target platform. As shared at the time of the original showcase, Dreams of Another is a narrative-driven action game with a unique twist that results in the shooting mechanic being used to create the in-game world as opposed to destroying it. Moreover, it also features a distinct art style, thanks to the point cloud technology leveraged by Q-Games. According to the newest trailer, both the PS5 and PC ports are set to hit stores later in 2025.
Dreams of Another Announced for PC
Following the latest update from Q-Games, yet another name has joined the list of indie games coming to various platforms shortly. Besides Dreams of Another, Darwin’s Paradox by ZDT Studio, published in partnership with Konami, is another in-development title announced at the State of Play stream for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch.
For Dreams of Another, its recently confirmed PC port certainly looks like a positive sign as it offers the shooter game access to another major platform and its massive audience. Keeping in mind Steam’s ever-growing user base, which recently crossed 40 million concurrent users for the first time ever, the developer’s decision to bring it over to Valve’s PC storefront seems to be a reasonable call.
