This high-octane adventure can be thought of as a “rogue-like shoot ’em up on wheels with RPG features,” drawing influence from fast-paced bullet-hell games like Vampire Survivors, and incorporating the character classes, dungeon exploration, and quest focus found in the tabletop game Dungeons and Dragons. Teams of up to four players can customize and enhance their vehicles, embark on quests, and delve into dungeons while fending off a constant barrage of enemies across a vast world.

Dungeons and Drivers Takes Place In A Car-Based, D&D-Inspired World

In the game Dungeons and Drivers, participants have the option to select from a diverse range of automobiles themed around the social classes found in Dungeons and Dragons. Each vehicle category boasts its unique strengths, weaknesses, and special abilities. For instance, the Warrior car is equipped with a protective shield at its front, rendering it almost indestructible against head-on collisions, but susceptible to damage from behind. The Ranger utilizes a Vorpal Bow, the Tank boasts a Spiked Shield, and as one might expect, the Mage excels in magical proficiency. As players journey through the game world and accomplish missions, they can unlock and enhance weapons, armor, and abilities to ensure they can effectively tackle the multitude of opponents they will face.

The game “Dungeons and Drivers” is structured into various stages, where players must overcome bosses to advance to the next one. Yet, this game offers so much more than just defeating each boss swiftly and moving on from level to level. Players may stumble upon dungeons for exploration, teeming with monsters to battle and treasures to discover. Furthermore, scattered throughout the world are random tasks. Finishing these tasks might enable weapon and armor upgrades or even the unlocking of new ones. Notably, the game’s design is inspired by “Dungeons and Dragons,” allowing weapons to inflict a range of elemental damage such as fire, ice, lightning, and other forms.

Fast-Paced “Bullet Heaven” Combat Is Reminiscent Of Vampire Survivors

The game titled “Dungeons and Drivers” refers to itself as a lively take on the “bullet hell” style, where adversaries assault you in massive numbers and you fend them off using potent long-range weapons like firearms, bows, or staffs that shoot magic. The combat is influenced by games such as “Vampire Survivors,” with enemies persistently attacking while you traverse the world. To endure the harsh environment of “Dungeons and Drivers,” players must consistently improve their weaponry, armor, and abilities.

In contrast to what one might initially assume from its title, “Dungeons and Drivers” encompasses weaponry beyond just guns for players. Similar to games like “Vampire Survivors,” this game offers an array of choices such as bows, staffs, magic missiles, among others. What sets it apart are its eccentric weapons like the JawSlinga, a crossbow shaped like a shark, and the BOOMerang, a boomerang propelled by dynamite.
