Summary

  • Dungeons and Dragons adds Eberron: Forge of the Artificer and a mystery book to its 2025 release schedule.
  • The new Eberron book includes updated Artificer class, character options, and expanded lore and rules.
  • Other upcoming releases include Dragon Delves, Heroes of the Borderlands Starter Set, and Forgotten Realms guides.

As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that Dungeons & Dragons has revealed two exciting additions to its 2025 lineup! First up is “Eberron: Forge of the Artificer”, set for release on August 19. While details are scarce, the second book, slated for October, promises fresh opportunities for my D&D characters. This upcoming project will introduce an enhanced version of the Artificer class, which I can’t wait to explore!

2025 will see the launch of several new books from Dungeons and Dragons, following the updated 5th Edition Player’s Handbook, Dungeon Master’s Guide, and Monster Manual. Among these are a collection focusing on dragons, the Heroes of the Borderlands Starter Set, and The Forgotten Realms Player and Adventure Guides.

In 2025, Wizards of the Coast has expanded its collection with two additional sourcebooks, as reported by EN World. The first title, set to debut on August 19, is called “Eberron: Forge of the Artificer” – a rulebook revisiting the magicpunk universe of Eberron. This Dungeons and Dragons book is unique as it focuses specifically on Eberron, and one standout feature is the inclusion of the Artificer class, revamped using the 2024 ruleset. The second release, slated for October, remains unnamed at this time.

Dungeons and Dragons 2025 Release Schedule

  • February 18 – 2024 Monster Manual
  • July 8 – Dragon Delves
  • August 19 – Eberron: Forge of the Artificer
  • September 16 – Heroes of the Borderlands Starter Set
  • October – Unknown Book
  • November 11 – Forgotten Realms Player’s Guide
  • November 11 – Forgotten Realms Adventure Guide

In addition to the latest class, Eberron: Forge of the Artificer, there’s a wealth of content for both players and game masters ahead. The game offers Eberron-themed backgrounds, fortifications, Dragonmark feats, and the unique Khoravar race among its character choices. On the other hand, game masters can leverage the rich world lore, refined airship rules, and sample adventures like the Sharn Inquisitives, Dragonmark Intrigue, and Morgrave Expeditions to enliven their games and bring the Eberron setting to life at their tables.

In addition, more details have been disclosed about several other books due out this year as well. The updated title of the Dungeons and Dragons anthology is now Dragon Delves, set to release on July 8th. It offers a collection of 10 diverse adventures, spanning levels 1 through 12, each focusing on one of the chromatic and metallic dragons’ unique themes. On September 16th, the Heroes of the Borderlands Starter Set will be available, reviving the iconic Keep in the Borderlands adventure for modern 5e. This set includes a beginner-friendly tile-based character creation system and support for multiple Game Masters (GMs) to run the campaign effectively.

As a fellow game enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news about upcoming releases. On November 11, we’ve got two fantastic additions to our gaming world: the Forgotten Realms Player’s Guide and the Forgotten Realms Adventure Guide.

The Player’s Guide will introduce new backgrounds, feats, and eight subclasses that draw inspiration from the breathtaking landscape of Faerun. On the other hand, the Adventure Guide takes us on an immersive journey through the Moonshae Isles, Icewind Dale, the Dalelands, Calimshan, and Baldur’s Gate. It showcases how these and other regions within the Forgotten Realms have evolved over time.

But So, if you’re as excited about these updates as I am, be sure to give them a try. Happy gaming!
