That’s because it offers a Final Fantasy-like take on its universe, boasting advanced technology that’s not commonly found in most D&D realms and seamlessly blended with magic.

In the world of D&D 5e, the Eberron setting has seen a sourcebook before, with “Eberron: Rising From The Last War” debuting in 2019. Now, another update for this setting is on its way, connecting it to the 2024 reemergence of D&D 5e rules. The upcoming book is titled “Eberron: Forge of the Artificer,” and it’s scheduled to release in August 2025.

D&D Is Updating Dragonmark Feats

In the realm of Eberron, certain individuals possess a unique birthmark known as Dragonmarks, which grant them magical abilities and serve as a mark of distinction. These marks were traditionally associated with one’s race when creating a character.

In the latest Unearthed Arcana update, Dragonmarks are now categorized as Feats. At any given point, a player can only possess one Dragonmark tattoo. These tattoos have an upgradeable feature as you progress through higher levels. The aim is to allow characters to acquire these marks later in their lives, rather than limiting the choice during character creation.

When it comes to the Dragonmark Feats in Eberron, they often offer a variety of abilities, making them a top pick for character builds in that setting.
