Dust on the Wires Quest in ARC Raiders

The latest Flashpoint update is now available for ARC Raiders, bringing with it a new set of quests that continue the story of the fight against ARC.

In Dust On The Wires, you’ll explore the Spaceport map while looking for a missing team of Scouts. The story revolves around discovering what happened to them and uncovering their secret plans.

Let’s review what you need to do for this task and what you’re trying to achieve, so you can finish it and maybe even have some time left over!

Prerequisites

Unlike some missions where you can complete objectives over several attempts, this one requires you to finish everything in a single run. To maximize your chances of success, especially around the 30-minute mark, it’s best to carefully prepare your equipment before you start.

The center of the map can get pretty chaotic, with players and enemy fire coming from all directions. While you can complete the quest objectives by going around the outer edge of the map, it will take much longer. Don’t forget to bring enough supplies, just in case something goes wrong.

Be careful of the new Vaporiser ARC when playing on the new map. If you want to finish this quest quickly, you might want to disable map conditions.

Dust on the Wires Quest Walkthrough

Spaceport Field Depot

Hopefully, you’ll start on the east side of the map, otherwise you’ll have a long walk to get to the action.

Locate the Field Depot on the right side of the map. I found mine just southwest of the East Plains Warehouse. Once there, find the glowing console by the entrance and resend the log.

Raider Tower

Okay, so next you’ll want to head all the way over to the opposite side of the map. You’re looking for an old, kinda falling-apart Raider Tower – it’s just a little northwest of the Maintenance Hangar. It’s not super tall or obvious, so keep your eyes peeled!

Go up the spiral staircase and send another log from the computer at the top. Then, Shani will ask you to find the lost Scout troop near the Maintenance Hanger.

The Missing Scouts

Go to the southwest side of the maintenance hangar. You’ll find some overturned carts and supplies there.

Tell Shani where you are, and she’ll ask you to find some proof. Look around the supplies to discover a Scout Patrol Note. Keep the note safe, and then you can leave whenever you’re ready.

To give the note to Shani, you’ll need to successfully obtain it first. Be careful, because if you die now, you’ll have to start the entire quest over.

Rewards

After submitting the note to Shani, you’ll receive the following:

  • Fax Machine Backpack Attachment

To use this item, go to the Raider menu and choose ‘customisation’. Then, find the ‘Backpack Attachment’ section and equip your new cosmetic there.
