Dying Light 2 Tower Raid Open Beta Extended to August 2024

As a dedicated fan of Dying Light, I’m thrilled to hear that Techland has extended the Tower Raid Open Beta until August 1, 2024. This news brings a sense of excitement and anticipation as I look forward to spending more time exploring the intricacies of this challenging mode.

The Dying Light 2 development team made an update on their X platform yesterday, revealing that they’ve decided to prolong the Tower Raids Open Beta testing period all the way to August 1, 2024.

The beta testing phase for The Tower started on June 27 and was initially scheduled to end on July 18, 2024. However, the developers have announced that they wish to “give everyone a chance to collect exclusive rewards.” Additionally, they encourage the community to provide further feedback to enhance the raid experience.

During the Tower Raid Open Beta test, gamers make their way up multiple levels to get to the rooftop. They encounter waves of infected along the way. Once they reach the summit, fans are rewarded and can obtain newly introduced items in Jai’s inventory which will remain accessible even after the beta has ended.

Some fans worry that the prolonged duration of the extension for Dying Light 2’s development might indicate issues with creating DLC 2. On the other hand, developers could be taking additional time to incorporate fan suggestions into the Tower Raid mode, which is a highly anticipated community request.

On all platforms, the beta version offers the Tower Raid with an option for solo or team play. To join the raid, fans must finish the “Lost Armory” side mission and then employ Jai’s Board.

In March, Tymon Smektala from Techland shared that the key to Dying Light 2’s continued popularity is their strong connection with the game community. Notably, the player base of Dying Light, which was released in 2015, experienced a significant surge following a major discount, resulting in over three times more players.
