Techland is releasing a significant update for Dying Light 2: Stay Human, their popular open-world game. With the recent success of the standalone expansion, Dying Light: The Beast, the developers are now concentrating on improving the core Dying Light 2 experience, which launched in 2022. This new update, called ‘Winter Tales: Gifts from Above 2025’, includes some exciting new content.
This update introduces a new, unique bundle called The Evolving Bundle. What makes it special is that the items inside don’t just stay the same – they evolve and change over time, improving after you purchase them.
Winter Has Come to Villedor
Once a year, Villedor transforms with a festive theme, bringing special challenges, unique rewards, and seasonal events to the entire city.
In a new press release published by Techland, the return of Baka was highlighted:
Okay, so Baka’s returned to Villedor and he’s got a bunch of new bounties for me to tackle! The cool thing is, as I complete them, he unlocks more stuff in his shop. I’m grinding for candies by taking down these special holiday zombies – like the Naughty Biters, Bolters, and Virals, plus these tougher guys, Uncle Snow and the Ice Spitters. Gotta collect those candies to buy all the goodies!
Once you finish enough challenges, Baka will send you a ‘Letter to Santa’ that unlocks a special airdrop, but be prepared – it’s protected by tough enemies!
Starting today, December 18th, we’re launching community goals to help players earn extra gear. Here’s a look at the challenges ahead:
- December 18 – December 23 – Week 1: Kill Naughty Biters – rewards include the Glacier Shank Knife and Snow Season Ornament Charm
- December 23 – December 30 – Week 2: Kill Naughty Virals – rewards include The Guiding Star Mace and Gift Season Ornament Charm.
- December 30 – January 8 – Week 3: Kill Uncle Snow – rewards include the Fractal Frost Axe and New Year’s Ornament Charm.
A standout feature of the recent Dying Light 2: Stay Human Winter Update is the new Evolving Bundle. Techland calls it a first-of-its-kind offering, hinting at more to come, which is why it’s particularly exciting for fans of the game.
The new Night Wolf Evolving Bundle is a unique offering that changes as you play. By completing a four-part quest, players unlock the Crimson Werewolf set. This bundle includes two versions of a strong rifle, a full outfit, six gear items, and a special paraglider skin. It also features the Wolf’s Claws melee weapon and an exclusive grappling hook design.
Throughout the new quest, you’ll notice your weapons and gear visibly changing and improving – it’s a really cool feature!
