A new update is coming to *Dying Light: The Beast* next week. Like *Hollow Knight: Silksong* and *Assassin’s Creed Mirage*, *The Beast* started as downloadable content for *Dying Light 2: Stay Human*, but it has expanded into a standalone game.
Dying Light: The Beast introduces Castor Woods, a brand new playground for parkour that’s a big departure from the urban settings of previous games. While the area includes a town with the classic Dying Light vertical challenges, it’s surrounded by open woods and farmland, offering a fresh experience for players. New Dying Light: The Beast Hotfix Coming Next Week
Techland is already working on several updates for *Dying Light: The Beast*, and the first one is coming soon. They announced on Twitter that a hotfix will be released early next week to boost the game’s performance, especially frame rates on PC. This update will also fix problems with completing quests and improve how zombies grab players.
Although improving performance and fixing game-stopping bugs are important, the most noticeable change in the latest Dying Light: The Beast update is how zombies grab players. In the game, zombies can latch onto players who get too close, requiring them to quickly press a button to escape. Some players felt the timing for these grabs was unfair, making it hard to line up powerful charged attacks without being caught. This adjustment should reduce frustration for players who frequently use charged attacks, which are needed to activate many of the game’s weapon upgrades.
This hotfix for *Dying Light: The Beast* likely addresses even more problems once the complete patch notes are published next week.
