Dying Light: The Beast Received a New Trailer at The Games Awards 2024

As a seasoned survivor of the zombie apocalypse, with scars both physical and emotional etched into my battle-worn soul, the reveal of Dying Light: The Beast has set my heart racing like never before. Thirteen years have passed since that fateful night when the world as we knew it came to an end, and I’ve lived through countless horrors, but this game promises a new chapter in our ongoing struggle for survival.

At The Game Awards 2024, a fresh gameplay trailer for Dying Light: The Beast was unveiled. A vague release period within the summer of 2024 has been hinted, but no specific date has been disclosed yet.

The game serves as a spin-off from Techland’s popular zombie franchise. Check out the synopsis:

Following 13 long years of grueling tests, you finally manage to break free and set out to find your captors for vengeance, but soon realize there’s much more at play. Although the area is less populated than before, it still houses people and factions, along with numerous horrors. Some may ask for your assistance, others may want to end your life. Additionally, a strange beast seems to have made the woods its own hunting ground.

The story centers around Kyle Crane, a person who rescued numerous others when a virus swept the globe. After spending several years in confinement and undergoing numerous experiments, Kyle’s genetic makeup has fully merged with that of a zombie, enabling him to metamorphose into a monster. This is the origin of the game’s subtitle.

In this game, you’ll explore a vast, open environment that includes diverse settings like forests, factories, and quaint villages. You can choose to play on your own or team up with three others in cooperative mode. Also, expect the game to follow a day-night cycle for added realism.
