Techland has revealed its plans for updates to *Dying Light: The Beast* over the next eleven and a half weeks. These updates will include new gameplay features, technical improvements, events, and rewards, all expected to be released by early January 2026.
It’s been one month since the release of the newest *Dying Light* game, *The Beast*. The game launched to good reviews, earning a “Strong” rating on OpenCritic with an average score of 81 and a recommendation rate of 80%. In its first month, the open-world action horror game received five updates, primarily focused on fixing important problems players discovered after the game came out.
Dying Light: The Beast Shares Its First Post-Launch Content Roadmap
Okay, so Techland has tackled a lot of the really important stuff after launch, and now they’re focusing on actually *adding* to the game, which is awesome! They just revealed their plans for the next few months in *Dying Light: The Beast*, and it sounds really cool. We’re getting a New Game Plus mode, which I’ve been waiting for, plus they’re adding Legend levels and a Nightmare Difficulty – it looks like they’re really challenging us! I’m super excited to see what they do with all this.

The popular New Game Plus mode is coming to *Dying Light: The Beast* and should make collecting powerful Legendary items much easier. Currently, players often struggle to get high-level gear because it requires a lot of repetitive farming for materials. Some players felt this made the game too grindy and disrupted the flow. New Game Plus will fix this by letting players continue improving their equipment without getting stuck in endless loops of gathering materials.

The latest plans for the game include upgrades like ray tracing on the PC version. Players can also look forward to a crossover with *PUBG: Battlegrounds*, joining the other collaborations *Dying Light* has been building. Over the next few months, Techland will also add a Nightmare difficulty setting and Legend levels to further challenge players.
The developer hasn’t announced specific release dates for any of the features on its roadmap. However, the announcement indicates the new content will be delivered in a series of updates. Until features like New Game Plus are available, players of *Dying Light: The Beast* can participate in weekly “Call of the Beast” community challenges, which run until January 7th. These events will offer a total of 22 exclusive prizes, including one Legendary item.
