Many players of *Dying Light: The Beast* are curious if there’s a racing mini-game with unlockable trophies or achievements. The good news is, there is! If you want to try out the racing challenges in Castor Woods, you’ll need to complete a few steps first to get access to this fast-paced action through the zombie-filled forest.
This guide provides a complete walkthrough for unlocking and completing “The Fast and Fortunate” side quest in *Dying Light: The Beast*. It includes helpful tips for achieving gold medals and earning the related trophies and achievements.
How To Start The Fast and Fortunate in Dying Light: The Beast
To start the Racing Challenge side quest in *Dying Light: The Beast*, you first need to unlock the Efficient Driving and Collision Expert skills. Once you’ve improved your driving abilities, head back to the Farmlands area and drive across the road that separates it from the Villa. You’ll find a quest marker there – it shows a crashed truck with someone worried about the driver. Eliminate the nearby zombies, grab the communication device, and follow the instructions from the voice on the comms to find the quest giver. They’re located in a Car Shop near Nate Market in the Dark Zone.
Kyle can find Travis inside the garage. Travis organizes truck races and has a surprisingly cheerful plan for surviving the apocalypse: holding a truck rally! It sounds like it could be a lot of fun, except that the entire Castor Woods area is overrun with dangerous Infected creatures who will immediately attack any vehicle they see.
Kyle Crane is ready for what’s ahead, and players will need to be too if they want to earn the special reward Travis is offering for completing all the courses. First, though, everyone will face the Qualifiers – a tough initial test they must pass to continue.
You unlock each track in The Fast and Fortunate by completing the current challenge and achieving at least a Bronze ranking. Once you finish a track, you’ll need to wait a full day before Travis reaches out to Kyle Crane with the details for the next one.
Tips To Win Every Track Race Challenge in Dying Light: The Beast
As a huge fan of *Dying Light: The Beast*, I’ve been tackling those Racing Challenges, and let me tell you, each track is seriously tough! They’re packed with tricky curves and tons of obstacles – we’re talking burning cars, barriers, and even huge infected blocking the way. It’s almost impossible to avoid *something*! You’re going to crash eventually unless you’re incredibly skilled or unbelievably lucky. So, I wanted to share a few tips I’ve picked up to help you conquer every Racing Challenge in the game.
- Focus on reaching each of the goals at full speed, and don’t worry about crashing into the smaller infected.
- Avoid big infected at any cost. If players need to decide between crashing with a smaller infected or a Brute, then pick the lesser Zombie.
- Be careful of Gas Tanks, though, as they can stick to the car hood and explode, breaking the truck.
- Pressing ‘F’ (PC) will respawn the vehicle if stuck or broken. In case players are stuck, they don’t have to doubt and press the Respawn button quickly to resume racing.
- As long as players reach at least Bronze in each challenge, they will be able to unlock the next track.
