Developers have announced that Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition will no longer be released on its original date, and a new release date hasn’t been set.
In September 2025, Koei Tecmo excited fans by announcing a remake of the classic 2001 game, Dynasty Warriors 3. This remastered edition is being rebuilt with the powerful Unreal Engine 5, promising impressive new graphics and improvements. However, the developers have indicated they need additional time to ensure the game meets player expectations.
Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Delayed With No New Release Date
Koei Tecmo America announced on X (formerly Twitter) that Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition has been delayed. Originally planned for release on March 19, 2026, a new release date will be announced soon. The game’s producer explained that, being the first remaster in the series, they want to take extra time to ensure the game meets fans’ expectations and is as polished as possible.
Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered bundles the original game and its Xtreme Legends expansion into one package. This updated version will feature over 40 playable characters and revamps the classic, over-the-top 1 vs. 1,000 battles for today’s consoles. The Xtreme Legends portion adds new storylines, the ability to customize your bodyguards, new weapons, and four different challenge modes.
