The release of Koei Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered has been postponed. This action-packed game, based on the historical Three Kingdoms period, is a long-running and popular series for Koei Tecmo and Omega Force, appearing on many different gaming systems. While there have been ten main Dynasty Warriors games, often with expanded Empires and Xtreme Legends versions, this new release is a remastered version of an older fan favorite.

Released in late 2001, Dynasty Warriors 3 introduced several new features to the series, including multiplayer and an expanded version called Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends. To mark the franchise’s 25th anniversary, Koei Tecmo announced in September 2025 that a fully remastered version of Dynasty Warriors 3 was in development, originally planned for a March 2026 release. Koei Tecmo is currently working on Origins and its downloadable content, but this game only covers the first part of Romance of the Three Kingdoms, hinting at a possible sequel to finish the story.
