Dynasty Warriors: Origins isn’t classified as an open-world game, but it does utilize a substantial world map. Initially, the portion of the map players can traverse is quite limited, making navigation straightforward. However, as the main story unfolds and additional provinces open up, navigation can turn into a somewhat lengthy and tedious process.
In Dynasty Warriors: Origins, players often find themselves having to retrace their steps across vast areas due to the continuous emergence of new battles and tasks. However, mastering the fast travel feature can significantly cut down on this time-consuming task, especially for those aiming to finish all the additional game content.
How to Fast Travel in Dynasty Warriors: Origins
In Dynasty Warriors: Origins, you can swiftly move between various landmarks by accessing the Map interface first. However, before you can quickly travel to a specific landmark, you’ll need to unlock it initially. You can achieve this by navigating towards the landmark on the game map and pressing either the X button (for PlayStation users) or A button (for Xbox users). Once you’ve done that, the landmark will show up on your map screen, enabling you to instantly travel there whenever you wish.

If they’re not engaged in combat, players can access the map in one of two ways: either by tapping on an already opened Waymark on the game map or by temporarily pausing the game and navigating to the Map menu using the shoulder buttons. For PlayStation users, a quicker option is available – just press the touchpad on the DualSense controller while viewing the world map screen, which will instantly display the map, saving you some precious seconds.

On the map display, hovering over an unsealed Waypoint will reveal nearby important sites or conflicts. To locate a specific battle or site, players can press either the Square button (PlayStation) or X button (Xbox) to switch on information. Once enabled, they may use the Triangle button (PlayStation) or Y button (Xbox) to browse through a list of accessible battles and locations, then select their desired destination by moving the cursor towards the nearest Waypoint associated with it.
