EA Confirms Skate 4 and Battlefield Release Dates

It’s hard to imagine, but today turned out to be an excellent day. This optimism stems from the recent Electronic Arts Q4 2025 earnings call, where they revealed some exciting new release dates.

The announcement is one piece of many confirmations, and it’s anticipated that over the next ten months, there will be seven significant launches. Typically, five of these would be sports-themed updates, but what truly shines in this presentation are Battlefield 6 and Skate 4.

As stated in the webcast and the document published by EA, the major gaming company plans to launch both games prior to March 2026. For many Battlefield enthusiasts, this appears to be the third (and presumably last) announcement regarding a release date from EA.

Initially, in February, Electronic Arts (EA) expressed intentions to release the upcoming Battlefield game by April 2026. However, their excitement didn’t last long, as CEO Andrew Wilson clarified later that the release date was yet to be confirmed.

As a fervent admirer, I must admit that the primary cause of my hesitation was to steer clear of releasing our upcoming project too near to a significant rival’s grand endeavor, which many speculate to be Grand Theft Auto 6.

Given the circumstances, it’s hardly unexpected that Electronic Arts (EA) was ready to set a launch date so soon after Rockstar revealed that Grand Theft Auto 6 wouldn’t drop in 2025.

The Great Release Date Scramble

As long as no major disaster delays them, Battlefield and Skate 4 are expected to be released ahead of Rockstar’s long-awaited title. It would just take one reliable Half-Life 3 rumor for things to feel complete.

Additionally, EA plans to release F1 25 on May 30th and Q2 of 2026. Following closely are the 2026 editions of College Football, Madden, NHL, and non-FIFA (or FC 26 for short) for friends and family.

It’s likely that other game developers and publishers, who were waiting for the release of GTA 6, will begin setting release dates since they now have a clear timeframe to avoid competing with it.

2025 could potentially become overcrowded with the release of numerous anticipated games such as ARC Raiders, The Outer Worlds 2, and Subnautica 2. While official release dates have yet to be announced, many fans are confident that these titles will indeed be released in 2025.
