EA has announced that it will be closing down EA Sports FC Empires on November 30. This year, EA has already sunsetted several of its games, and their mobile game initiatives have been particularly affected by this trend.
In January, Electronic Arts (EA) ceased operation for eight of their mobile games. The termination process began with the shutdown of “The Simpsons: Tapped Out” on January 24, a move that drew significant criticism and left long-time players disheartened. On January 29, EA also pulled the plug on seven more mobile games: “Blood & Glory Immortals,” “Contract Killer: Sniper,” “Deer Hunter Classic,” “Dino Hunter: Deadly Shores,” “Eternity Warriors 4,” “Frontline Commando 2,” and “Frontline Commando: D-Day.” On March 13, the list expanded with the shutdown of “EA Sports UFC Mobile 2.” Now, EA has officially confirmed that yet another one of their mobile games will be decommissioned.
