Electronic Arts (EA) isn’t looking to bring back Dead Space in the near future.
TopMob Weekly recently reported that the series has been temporarily paused, according to inside sources and company communications.
According to sources, Electronic Arts doesn’t plan to revive the series in the foreseeable future, ruling out any remakes, reboots, or sequels.
Despite recent challenges, the future of the 17-year-old series isn’t entirely lost. Sources say the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund is facing financial difficulties after selling Electronic Arts. These sources hope the new owners of EA might be interested in selling the rights to the game series.
This doesn’t mean EA is currently trying to sell the franchise, but some people within the company believe they might consider it. The idea is that a sale could help pay down debt and recover funds following the completion of their current deal next year.
