EA Seeking Production Director for New Mass Effect

A recent job posting suggests that Electronic Arts is starting work on the next Mass Effect game.

It’s been almost a decade since the last Mass Effect game, Mass Effect: Andromeda, came out in 2017. Now, EA is taking steps to plan the future of the series. They’ve posted a job opening for a production director who will lead the development of the next Mass Effect title.

Electronic Arts is looking for a new Mass Effect Production Director with at least ten years of experience working on large, high-quality games. They need someone who really understands action role-playing games (ARPGs) and role-playing games (RPGs), and who has a track record of successfully building and leading teams.

We’re seeking a passionate Production Director who loves the Mass Effect world to lead the development of our next Mass Effect game. You’ll work closely with our creative leaders, development teams, and external partners to bring the game’s vision to life and ensure it meets our high standards for quality.

The Current Direction of the Mass Effect IP

Mike Gamble, the executive producer of Mass Effect, announced in November 2025 that both EA and BioWare are fully dedicated to continuing the Mass Effect series, with plenty of new stories planned. Some fans and industry observers think the next Mass Effect game is crucial for BioWare, especially after the difficult development process of Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

Amazon is developing a TV series based on the game, but it won’t be a direct adaptation of the original three games. Instead, the show will tell a new story that takes place after the ending of the third game.

I’m super hyped for the next Mass Effect, and I wanna know what you guys are hoping to see! Come share your thoughts and wishlist in our Discord server – the link’s below. And if you don’t want to miss any news or updates, make sure to sign up for our weekly newsletter too!
