EA Sports Details New Game Mode Coming To EA FC 25, Rush

As a long-time football gaming enthusiast with countless hours spent on EA Sports FIFA games, I’m thrilled to hear about the latest addition to EA Sports FC 25 – Rush. With Volta mode taking a backseat this year, it’s intriguing to see what EA has in store for us next.

EA Sports has unveiled the newest addition to EA Sports FC 25 – an exciting new game mode called Rush, which will make its debut in the game this year.

In simpler terms, Rush is a fresh 5-on-5 game mode designed for a compact playing field. It appears to be taking over from the outgoing Volta mode in previous titles, providing more diverse experiences.

EA Sports FC 25 Rush Details

In simple terms, you can say that “Rush” can be accessed by players across several game modes, providing them with diverse experiences in Football Ultimate Team, Clubs, Manager Career, and regular Kick-Off matches.

  • Ultimate Team Rush: “Bring your favourite Player Item and team up with friends in locked-to-player 5v5 matches.”
  • Clubs Rush: “Squad up with friends and take your Clubs experience to the Rush Pitch.”
  • Manager Rush: “Get closer to your Youth Academy development throughout the season with new playable 5v5 Rush tournaments.”
  • Kick-Off Rush: Choose any team from the available leagues to play in a Rush game.

How Rush Works

A Rush game is held on a smaller field, approximately 41.5% the size of a standard 11vs11 pitch. The dimensions of this field measure around 63.7 meters in length and 46.6 meters in width. The design aims to foster side-to-side ball movement while ensuring sufficient breadth, avoiding the sensation of being overly confined.

In the final seven minutes of the game, there is no halftime break. The clock continues running except when the ball leaves the field of play. If the game ends in a tie after these seven minutes, a golden-goal period of 2:20 ensues. Should the game still be deadlocked following this time, penalty kicks will determine the victor.

As a soccer fan, I’m excited about the recent modification to the offside rules that makes them more akin to hockey’s. Now, there’s a new dotted line on the field, and if I’m behind a defender when the ball is in play, I’ll be considered onside as long as I haven’t crossed into the attacking zone. But once I step foot into that area, the conventional offside rules come into effect.

Other Rush details include:

  • Four cameras to choose from
  • Free kicks are always indirect
  • Two-player social celebrations
  • Tactical requests for positioning and playcalling
  • Corner Kicks and Throw-Ins done by the person closest to the ball when it goes out of bounds

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that the new game mode in EA FC 25 has piqued my curiosity. There’s so much more to discover and learn about this exciting addition to the game. For those who are eager to delve deeper into the world of Rush, I would strongly recommend checking out the official EA FC 25 website.
